I must say that Grant is rarely sick. When he complains about pain I know it must be bad as he has rheumatoid arthritis so is used to a constant level of pain all the time. For him to actually mention it (or ask for help) means it is serious. I like to moan and complain when I am sick, not that it gets me anywhere. :roll:

Nature's Place is a big barn open to the public where they can go and see various animals, both live and stuffed. It has recently moved into this barn from a larger area that became too expensive to maintain. The barn is in the middle of Tauranga's historic village. If you look through my conference post you should see a link to my Photobucket album which has more pics of it. Livingart was still setting it up at that stage so it did not have as much in it as there is now! It used to be called Living Art Wildlife Park so that should give you an idea of what it is, condensed now.

Remember to leave room between the cans for the fish to swim!

True cold water species will live way below 18C. Many "tropicals" will cope in a well insulated house, especially up north, where temps do not drop much below 18C. This does not make them a cold water species, no matter what the shops call them. :roll: There is a difference between "cold" and "unheated".

The ceramic noodles? Yes they can be used. You may need a bit of filter wool too to clear the larger particles from the water. I have never used that particular filter but have swapped out other filter media for the ceramic noodles in other filters and not had a problem.

Can you cut them to fit or are the solid with plastic edges?

I understand your feeling but there is a wide range to autism, from mild to severe, and it will be good to have a definitive diagnosis so young.

Half the number. Are they similar filters? Can you swap half the media from the old filter with the new?

What do you mean by 'bubble filter' Ryan? Do you mean a box filter?

If you ran a filter for up to 4 weeks on the old tank then it could be moved to the new and the same stocking level added with no ill effects.
