Hi and welcome. Good to hear you are getting a larger tank as you will soon run into problems with the number and size you have there.
  2. Just got back from a tasty dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. !drool: I will upload pics when we get home. Trying to figure out how long to allow for bottlenecked traffic tomorrow when we hit Paraparaumu :-? A big thank you to the BFRC for organising their first conference. They did a wonderful job. Special thanks to Jim and Fiona Sytema for all their hard work
  3. We have spent a lovely afternoon at the beach watching some wading waist deep in the water catching critters. Nice to meet you Anthony. We are getting ready for dinner now !drool:
  4. Hi Jan and welcome to the fishroom
  5. We are all heading to Mark's new place tomorrow (he said something about needing to shift an 8ft tank) then wading about in rock pools (depending on weather). Dinner was lovely, as was dessert. Conversations after dinner were also fun, as was the auction.
  6. We had an interesting afternoon with a guest speaker from Masterpet giving us a PowerPoint presentation then Mark Paterson talked about collecting stuff for local marine tanks and what he has in plan for us tomorrow. We can only hope the weather improves as it has been cold, windy and wet all day. Good thing we have been inside nice and warm with plenty of lovely food offered throughout the day. There is even some birthday cake left! Now we are all resting, or shopping etc, until the evening meal.
  7. So what did you do to break so many bits? :-?
  8. As you can see some people are messaging from across the conference room!
  9. Kevin has won a UV steriliser and I have won a doggie pack for my granddog 8) Plenty of other raffles coming up. We have now stopped for a delicious lunch
  10. Which firm would you prefer to work for? I would think ChCh would be an architect's dream at the moment. A lifetime opportunity to be in on the rebuilding of a city. You are willing to move to Sydney away from friends and family. ChCh is closer. With internet and Skype, family is not too far away. You will soon make many fishy friends in ChCh and they have Organism! :nfs:
  11. All have arrive safely, except for Sue Fleet. She had an unfortunate accident and is have to have her arm plastered (broken in 2 places) and her wrist operated on and a plate inserted :tears: We wish you a speedy recovery Sue. Friday night was a get-together at the hotel with drinks and nibbles. Thanks to Warren for supplying some Hell's Pizzas for the exec so we had fuel before our meeting. The hotel is lovely and the conference room excellent for our needs. BFRC chose well  We spent the evening catching up with old friends and putting faces to forum names - my favourite part. Hopefully I will be adding to the rogues' gallery when I get home. Am on a Vodafone stick so limited in data transfer. AGM starts soon. Good thing we are inside as it is very windy (has been all night, and been raining.
  12. Chocolate cake (especially wok's) is never :smot: I have packed the data projector, trophies, spare poly boxes and packed our bags. Almost all set! :bounce: :happy1: :happy2: I will text you when we leave Jane's Phoenix44. You better be ready to go when we reach you! Time for a loo stop and a quick look at the tanks then we will be off again. It is a long way to drive!
  13. Unless you can make as good a chocolate cake as wok, I suggest you leave him alone or you will have us chocoholics after you - and it won't be pleasant!!! :tears:
  14. Should have put you at the back and the tank in the front though Grant should be knocking on your door about now to pick up the stuff
  15. Perhaps CTT should consider a club trip over to the west coast

    The What's Up? thread.

Went to work this morning then had an appt with the osteopath. Kesh is now my new best friend even though he didn't want to marry me or let me stay lying on his massage table for the rest of the day :dunno:  Shopped in the lunch hour and got some good bargains (3 cheers for Kathmandu's clearance rack!) then back to work.

    Hi from Dunedin!

Hi and welcome Holly. Hopefully your husband will come to enjoy the fish too. More relaxing than puppies!
  18. Ask wok to send you a form (or zev might have one somewhere) 8)
  19. Rather than buy a pot and break it, why not ask if they have any broken stock anywhere? Get it for free
  20. As said, join the NZKA. Contact wok as he is president of the NZKA.
  21. Join the NZKA. They have good deals for members

I didn't mention shrimp as he said "fish"
  23. Poke him with your pointy stick zev and see if he is squishy on the outside too :happy2:

I would think then your only options would be minnows or leopardfish.
