    confession

We noticed!!! :an!gry You have to make up for it now :happy2:
  2. What size tank and filter do you have and what fish are in it? Just curious 8)
  3. Yes the filter should run 24/7. Just because the water looks good, doesn't necessarily mean it is.
  4. I was of the impression you already had something in mind!!
  5. Please start your own dog loving thread as you have gone :smot:
  6. With luck they will repair if not ripped right up to the body end.
  7. I did up to 50% water changes in my African tank using the garden hose through the window. The fish didn't mind the sudden temp drop or pH change and loved to swim in the current as close to the trigger end on the hose as they could get! When I do water changes on the other tank I use warm water from the tap as I put my hand under it to stop flattening the plants or disturbing the substrate and I don't want it to be cold on my hand
  8. So the baby is fine when upright but cries when lying flat? Does she cry really hard or just grizzle? Does she shut up when picked up? I would suggest a milk allergy but it sounds like you are breast feeding
  9. Gareth was sent home. He reports a lot of mess as everything has come off shelves but nothing broken. Water from tanks again all over carpet. Dena had a partial ceiling collapse at her temporary workplace but it destroyed a computer, not a person. Thank goodness you don't have tsunamis as well!!! :tears:
  10. We felt that one here. Try to limit cell phone use people as they have lost many cell sites around the region &c:ry
  11. And another. Was Skyping Jen and she said it was a big one and now has water everywhere. You all OK? Universal Time June 13 2011 at 1:00 NZ Standard Time Monday, June 13 2011 at 1:00 pm Latitude, Longitude 43.58°S, 172.78°E Focal Depth 11 km Richter magnitude 5.5 Region Canterbury Location 10 km east of Lyttelton 10 km north-east of Diamond Harbour 10 km east of Christchurch
  12. Have you always had such high readings or is this recent? Have you done something to the tank? Have you added new fish?
  13. That is a lot of clowns for a tank that size. What size are the fish?
  14. How many fish in it and what size? Chemicals can give you false test readings.
  15. I don't need to do any of that as there are so many large holes in our guttering I can place multiple barrels under them all and get plenty of rainwater! :-?
  16. You keep killing the good bacteria that live in the pads so the tank keeps re-cycling.
  17. I believe the parents may turn on the older lot when the next lot hatch (but haven't actually bred kribs myself so someone else may dispute that) like angels do.
  18. They will be more likely to charge you if you have 2 and one, or both, is still all nicely wrapped in the box and unused. Grant has found it depends on who you get as you come in as to whether they charge you or not. He brought back a lot of electronic stuff, had the receipts and all the paperwork but they just waved him through, even though he had several hundred dollars worth of stuff and well over the limit for not being charged.
  19. He means both fish may be female (and not male, or one female and one male) A female fish does not need a male if she wants to lay eggs, he is only needed to fertilise them.
  20. Wow, a reptilian porta pottie :sml1:
  21. I still have to sort and upload all the pics we took at Wonderworld, Rotorua, too 8) We sort of visited it when we accidentally passed :happy2:
  22. Kribs will spawn regularly and get very territorial when they do. The fry could be being eaten by any number of fish in the tank, including the parents. You can keep the parents and sell the fry (it is OK to move the fry - assuming you can catch them!) or keep the fry and still sell the parents . The problem will keep going on if you raise the fry as they too will breed :-?
