  1. He doesn't do anything now, why would he do it once he retires? Besides, as we run a business from home I doubt he will ever fully retire.
  2. Not at all. Apart from the fact he never actually proposed, he had a 1974 Jensen Healey convertible There would be more room in the other one though as the Jensen didn't have a back seat He is a good vintage himself though and will be 61 this month :sage:
  3. Thanks for the replies (and the PM). Grant will ask where it is in more detail and I will get back to you.
  4. We are looking at a vintage car on Trademe. It is in Auckland. Anyone here knowledgeable about them, or know someone who would be willing to go and have a look at it for us? Preferably someone who is a vintage car enthusiast who knows what to look for. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/chrysler/auction-404897954.htm
  5. I have heard people say that they may fight as they tend to have the same body shape (or something)
  6. Do not put a fighter with a gourami. It is a bare quarantine tank? Can you give the smaller one somewhere to hide? Are they going to go into a larger tank? More space, plus plenty of hiding places and less line of sight may calm sown the aggressiveness of the larger fish. If that doesn't work then you will need to remove one of them
  7. Blues seem to be a bit more aggressive than other gouramis and I think it can be a matter of luck as to whether they get on or not, Male or female. Two that have grown up together are less likely to fight.
  8. It is a marginal plant, grown at a depth of about 15cm. Commonly known as buttercup. It is said to be a good filtration plant but I don't know if that means it is a good oxygenator though. Oxygen weed would be much better and is free. I haul it up in bunches, with roots intact, from local rivers and plant it into baskets. If I am only using it over summer for spawning in a spare pond I just hold it down with a rock or brick. Choose your collection spot carefully. Look for excess algae or unwanted critters. Water with a good flow is best. A clear pic of the legal species can be found on our plant database http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=956
  9. That is where all mine came from
  10. I would not have thought so but perhaps someone local could give you a better idea. Bubbleyes tend to get damaged in ponds
  11. I don't think mixing goldfish and natives would work. Put your location in your profile please. Those in the far north can put more types of goldfish in ponds than those down south, due to temperature. Bronze or black goldfish are very hard to see in a pond. Mixing the types like you have will mean you will end up with a mix of hybrids. I suspect some of those you have will not survive.
  12. Poor LMCB &c:ry I hope he likes the little fishies on his bandage.
  13. It will think it is king of the tank and won't be lonely.
  14. Make sure you choose swift flowing water so it is not covered in algae. I have a friend who turned a bath into a pond and she also had a pedestal basin above it as a waterfall. She has to tilt it slightly forward, of course, and used perspex to make the water flow into the bath.
  15. Works well. No need fore filter. Don't overstock though. Get oxygen weed out of local streams and parks
  16. I don't think I could sleep wondering whether it was made well enough not to crack!

  18. Dear parents, please let Joel get more frogs as it would make him happier.
  19. No idea as mine disappears on its own. The barley straw might work, I don't know :dunno:

    The What's Up? thread.

Perhaps one of the snails has been on Ebay and bought a RC helicopter?
