  1. Next meeting Sunday 25th September, 2pm. 8a Faulkland Drive Blenheim We will be looking at James' and Emma's Rarotonga pics, including those he took underwater. They will be up on the big data projector screen so easy for all to see. Everyone welcome. Bring a small plate of nibbles for afternoon tea.

    Fish ID please

You could be right. They are just somewhat pale. I thought originally there were some black widows in the bin but then couldn't find them
  3. I have just had a couple turn up with a chilly bin of fish. Apparently their tank seal went They have no idea what the fish are and, now they have gained a bit of colour back (thanks to the white insides of the chilly bin) I see I now have 1 tiger barb, 5 neons (not looking well), 2 apple snails (yellow), 1 harlequin, 2 zebra danios, 3 rummy noses, 1 bristlenose and a silver shark. There is also a plec, but I am unsure what sort... and these two... I should know the last pair but my mind is blank. Any help IDing them, or the type of plec, would be appreciated. Sorry about quality but the water is murky.

    The What's Up? thread.

We bought a new car today :happy2: I was too unwell to go on our car club's 12th birthday run so they brought around some cakes after the event.
  5. No, GRANT will have to clean out the garage and he is well aware of that. It has been a running joke since he started looking for a vintage car :sml2: We will just get a big skip in - AGAIN.
  6. Many thanks to Ryan and the Andys for their assistance and test drive. We are now the proud owners of a vintage car :happy2: :happy1:
  7. It seems to me that the reason the trains failed was due to idiots pressing the emergency buttons and walking on the tracks. I do not see how the train system itself can be blamed for human stupidity  I think those of you on the boats would have had the best view!
  8. The blue leg looks a lot longer, and seems attached in the wrong direction! Are you sure the vet is competent? I still think a bandage across the mouth should have also been applied :sml1:
  9. Testicles were part of the ceremony? I hope they weren't flashing!
  10. OK, lets leave this thread to the fans so they can share their excitement and those of us who are over it can just control ourselves and not post eh? We know we don't like it, and aren't interested, so leave it to those who do like it and are interested. I do have one final question though... There has been a series of ads with a military guy training cameramen to be matchfit. The last one finishes by saying "If you don't (I can't remember what - watch the games?) whatsisname the cameraman will have lost his manhood and all this will have been in vain". - or something like that. What is he supposed to be shaking? (an oversized urine sample?) and what did the cameraman do that meant he lost his manhood??? :dunno:
  11. Totally Tanked is the local FNZAS affiliated fish club. They have fun, tasty, meetings! They are also on Facebook; http://www.facebook.com/groups/270668301833/
  12. I would say someone has already had a go at her if she is missing scales. They can sometimes be killed. Is there lots of plants in the pond so she can hide? The scales bulge because she is so fat.
  13. Probably full of eggs. They do bulge unevenly.
  14. Hey if you haven't figured out how to pick the lock yet you deserve to stay there until you are thinner (or have lost your voice) If you were truly hungry you would attempt to eat the kitty litter! PS. I have just been told a lot of people buy the pellet fire pellets to use as kitty litter. It apparently works just as well and is a lot cheaper than the "proper" stuff.
  15. Once anyone has added, corrected, changed etc this sheet (if required) I will remove the extra posts and sticky it with the rest.
  16. If it was only for a few weeks it wouldn't be so bad but it has been a never-ending relentless and constant news item that has encroached upon the news, programmes, adverts etc etc etc. By the way, if anyone is collecting the Weetbix cards, I have 11 of them here. I was going to see if any of the kids in my daughter's school was collecting them but they are banned from school (any type of collection cards etc) as they cause fights, bullying, theft etc. So, if someone wants these, I am happy to post them to you. I can't tell you who they are as the picture covers most of the name but I can guess some of them.

    The What's Up? thread.

Just returned from Quiz Night. We Foxy Morons came second tonight (lost by half a point) but I think we are still overall leaders for the term. :happy1:
  18. Can't stand it myself and doubt I could name many All Blacks. We hear about them endlessly, even when they lose  Grant has to attend all the Nelson matches, much to his disgust, but I don't think he can see the actual games from where he has to be anyway so he will happily sit and read a book or something
  19. Yes the standard of English is very poor these days, especially in our newspapers

Hopefully the injection will work miracles, otherwise it will be surgery and possibly fusing a few bits. Am now at work trying to last the day as another receptionist is recovering from a hip replacement so poor Jo would have to work all week if I go home We are a small surgery with only the Dr plus one of us working reception. Three of us job share. Considered adding an aquarium to the waiting room, as they are a wonderful calming thing to have in surgeries, but there is nowhere suitable to put it (even if I removed the cats!)

I have been walking the floor since 3.30am again. Pain is too severe to stay in bed &c:ry Booked in for CT scan guided nerve root injection on the 20th. A prolapsed disc is painful!!!
  22. Interclub comps were common years ago but these days, with longer working hours, businesses open weekends etc they are harder to organise.
  23. A collie will attempt to herd things - the yearlings, chickens, kids etc. My son has a blue merle border collie and she needs a LOT of exercise. They go to the dog park 2x daily plus other walks (despite the fact the dog has the run of the yard all day while they are at work) as she needs the interaction. She has started agility classes too and loves it.
  24. welcome. Have a look in the reptile and amphibian section for lots of info and pics of others' set-ups.
