  1. Smidey: I was sort of expecting one of the older guys to say something like "Back in the day, kids used to play OUTSIDE!" etc, my parents like to tell me about how they played OUTSIDE! too Not an attack or anything: I think a lot of people over estimate how bad playing video games is for kids, obviously there are some problems (addiction, games to violent/explicit) but think about games like Minecraft ( http://lmgtfy.com/?q=minecraft ) or terraria ( http://lmgtfy.com/?q=terraria ) renouned for inspiring creativity/art/modern culture. Plus most people used to smoke which is pretty bad too Anyway, I guess ALMOST everything is good in moderation
  2. Dead Island for the win its fantastic, good choice.
  3. Thought I'd use this as an opportunity to learn how to upload photos as well. And this one He/She doesn't actually have a name. Ideas?
  4. Unless i'm reading it wrong LA, did you say the scheltopusik are legal here for pet owners? because they sound very cool
  5. The idea of upgrading/buying another tanks sounds good, but the parents won't let me :an!gry Well, thanks anyway guys
  6. Any gamer's here? I would love to get some steam user names for my friends list I play a lot of Team Fortress 2
  7. Hi Donna, Sad to see the state of some of these turtles I believe I visited you awhile ago about making some changes to my turtles tank. Anyway, my turtle who is about 7 years old seems to be nice and healthy (Eating plenty of greens, a little bit of meat and a little bit of fish, Active, never been lethargic, nice green shell etc) Although a couple of weeks ago, I noticed his skin (not his scales) have little bits flaking off. Not visible out of the water, he seems to be fine and not bothered, but I just thought I would ask. Thanks for the good work you do, Its nice to know that there are people who care about animals as much as you do
  8. Hi, thanks for the responses, The tanks bottom dimensions are 60 x 30. Another thing I was wondering was where would I go to get an axolotl that size, people generally tend to only sell them as baby's. If anyone has one in Christchurch of a similar size (16-17 cms) of any color except white, then I may be interested. Especially if it is gold, those are awesome
  9. Any idea how I would go about sexing them? I am assuming the females are more placid.
  10. Hi, I'm Peter, New here I would love to own a Blue Tounge lizard, but the parents won't have it &c:ry Anyway, I have a leucistic Axolotl that I have had for two years now. He (or she) is living in a filtered 70 liter tank. He is well fed and healty with fluffy gills on a diet of pellets, blood worms, and occasional chunks of meat and hot house turtle food (he is pretty big, about 17 cms). Anyway, I was wondering whether I can put another appropriately sized axolotl in with him, given the size of the tank etc. I am just wondering because he has never lived with anything else in his tank, so he might eat/ attempt to eat the other one. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
