  1. This is a good time for the Good Ol Pantyhose over the Intake Pipe  They work wonders I found some Guppy Fry in my External Filter the other day, when I cleaned it out
  2. They're Whoopers Caryl Not sure of the Dimensions, I'm sure someone will be able to help you out though
  3. Could you fill the End where the Slot is with Filter Wool?? So that it's not coming out of the Slot with such Force that it makes a noise. We had to do a similer thing with our Aquaone AR620T Tank the Noise was driving us insane
  4. How old is the Tank?? What do they have in it?? What Filter are they running if any?? Water Parameters would be good too
  5. Maybe this is why your Palnts look Blah as you say. What have they got to grow their roots into, by the sounds of it nothing. I prefer using Aquarium Gravel, have heard some people have problems with a Bad Bacteria Build up with Potting Mix/Sand. You will probably find once you ingtroduce some Gravel to your Tank your Plants will start looking alot happier. Food will get trapped in between the bits of Gravel, the Plants will then use this as their source of food.
  6. I would be leaving it alone My Discus Tank sits at around 6.6, Tap Water is 7, I do an 80% Water Change every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, they seem Happy to me, doesn't seem to bother them with the slight PH difference of the Tap Water.
  7. I would say go with the Budgie Don't get 1 always better to get 2 I used to have 2 Budgies, mine used to preen each other all the time, very loving wee things, loved listening to them sing their little songs. Just be aware Birds can be very sensitive to Fly Sprays, Hairsprays anything in an aerosol really.

    Is she too old?

Wow 10 months Too Old I wouldn't have thought so Cam  I dont know alot about Breeding Fighters  Even though I do have a Beautiful Red Male myself Hopefully someone with abit more knowledge about Fighters will help, you with that one. Good Luck
  9. Really Sorry to hear about the Calves you lost Sounds Terrible Hope Both Mamma Cows are going to be OK  And you manage to get a well earned Rest today sometime
  10. Sounds like something out of a Cartoon Silva  I'm guessing your Male  if you enjoyed being Showered by a Hot Nurse  , unless I'm completely on the Wrong Track here  Anyway hope you get better real soon
  11. Acriflavine and Malachite Green are a great mixture :bounce: The Guy at Wet Pets gave it to me once, it worked great. Dosed with Treatment, left it in the Tank for 3 days, did 50% Water Change then redosed I would seriously think about Treating the Whole Tank too, better to be on the Safe Side, don't want anymore Sick Fishys.
  12. Foxjxa I'm trying to guess which LPS you work at   Ahhha I think the pennys just dropped
  13. My Guys would eat untill they POP I think Looks great when they've got Fat Round Little Bellys I would be giving them at Least a Bloodworm Cube Each, I feed every couple of Hours when I get home from work at night, so they will have say 3 feeds in about 4-5 Hours. I always give them enough Time to finish feeding before the Lights get switched off. How often are you Feeding them and how often are you doing Water Changes?? What are you feeding them??
  14. Foxjxa: I don't think you are lazy/poor/ or confused I think your Lovely I wouldn't simply run the Aquaone Tank Filter only , I found them bit of a Pain when it came time to rinse the Filter Wool etc...Would probably be ok if you only had small fishys. I'm not fimilar with the Internal Filters on the Juwels so cant comment on them. Externals are much much better though.
  15. Juwel Rio is a Normal Oblong Tank http://www.wonderworldpetcentre.co.nz/p ... 06&id=1025 Juwel Vision is a Bow Front http://www.wonderworldpetcentre.co.nz/p ... 06&id=1026 I have heard comments it's harder to take Photo's with a Bow Front Tank, not sure how true this it though.
  16. If the Eggs have turned White it's highly likely, they haven't been fertilised. They will pair off, if you have a Breeding Pair. Slate is available from most Good Plant Center's, places like Palmers Garden Center.
  17. Or Float an Ice Cream Container in the Tank with the Sick Fishys in that. You will need to change the Water on a regularly as it willget dirty very quickly. I would be trying abit of Acriflavine and Malachite Green, remember to get the Dosage right, don't wont to kill these little fellas with overdosing the container they are in. Good Luck
  18. These are just some prices that I got off the Net, so approximate's, Juwel Vision 180 Tank and Stand 180 Ltr $1545.00 Aquaone AR850 Tank and Stand 165 Ltr $870.00 I really dont think you're getting alot extra in the Juwel Tanks, for the extra Money they want for them. I do agree with aaron11, putting an External Filter on either of these Tanks would be great.
  19. I would definitely NOT be going with the Red Tail Shark, your Tank is way to small for one of those. Personally I would return the Angel and just stick with the Serpae's, Harlequins and Neons. Any Fluro Light will do.
  20. I have 3 AquaOne Tanks :bounce: 1 x AR980 1 x AR620T 1 X AR620 Love the Curved Corners, no horrible places for Algae to Grow. Cabinets on Aquaone's have good space aswell. I didn't like the look of the Tank overhanging the Tank Stand, just seemed a strange thing for them to do, and doesn't look as stable as a Tank Stand that fits perfectly under the Tank. I run an AquaOne CF1200 and each of these Tanks. Love all of these Tanks, but have to agree with phoenix about running an External Filter on either of them. I looked at the Juwels before I bought the Aquaone's too, but to be honest, for the amount in $$$ difference between the Juwel and the AquaOne's, I really couldn't see what I was getting for the amount of extra money I was having to Pay for the Juwel.
  21. Bikbok: Then Carcass I found was the other Clown Loach, orginally I had 2 , found the Carcass of 1, thought I had lost the other as well, but he was hiding in the Driftwood.
  22. Time and Patience They will do their thing when they're good and ready Really didn't do anything special when I was Breeding Angels, they did it all themselves.
  23. Nice Little Creation ya got there LA I think it's rather cute
  24. I was Half Way down that Road, applied for the Medical File etc...and the Forms that needed to be filled in to make a Complaint about this Doc. My Nan had an Operation on her hand to remove a Cancerous Growth, after the Op she lost full use of her hand, so ended up down the road for doing a Medical Misadventure Claim. After months of travelling to Palmy to have Physio and seeing a Hand Therapist, the next line of call was to have another Op, well at the age of 93 it all got abit much to deal with, :-? Nan passed away the week before Christmas so there was no needed to carry on the procedure of having this Doc dealt with  I had a similar situation with My Doc, 10 Years of putting up with Abdominal Pain, to be told very time I visited him, "Dont worry it's only a Niggly Appendix", then to be in Pain ALL Day on day, I ended up going to see an after hours Doc, who straight away took Bloods, and sent me to a Gynae, had scans done to find I was FULL of Endometreosis, also had this on the Bowel and Bladder, so it was a complete Abdominal Hysterectomy for me You go for what you believe is right VM Don't let ANY DOC Bully you
