  1. 4 foot long 2 foot high 1.5 goot deep Good condition with lid (basic design). Slight crack on top not affecting water tight condition. Tank on its own open to offers. Just looking at rehoming to gain the space for new project. Also available (if tank is purchased): 4 foot aqua one light (2x tubes) Large heater 2x internal filters 1x UV filter
  2. 1x pictus catfish for sale, around 10-12cm in length. Eats shrimp sinking pellets and blood worm. going cheep as I am changing my tank around. $30 - 021544013
  3. I am looking at changing to a cichlid tank, so am open to swaps as well. I have the following fish for sale: 3x 10-13cm silver sharks 1x large red tail shark 1x pictus catfish 1x albino rainbow shark 2x tiger barb 1x albino barb 2x serpe tetra 3x cherry barb (2M and 1F) 1x male bristlnose catfish Lots of single plant species (will take pictures).
  4. Chinese water dragons are also there for five dollars... Red eared sliders three dollars, I would hate to think of the homes that some of these guys go to at such low prices...
  5. So I am working in Korea for six months and I went into a supermarket which had a small pet section (defiantly pet rather than food)... And they sell African clawed frogs there for 2000 Wong, which is about NZ$2.00 - they had albinos and red ones and they looked pretty cool. There its apparently a massive aquarium/pet market in the capital which I am planning on going to. Perhaps see some cool animals and maybe for cheep gear for a marine tank when I get home.
  6. Did anything come from the eggs mate?
  7. OH NO! I have 2x dead silver sharks and 3x deal blood fin tetras :-( I am so upset with myself, I dont know what I am doing wrong. All the tests are comming back OK. I hope the tap water doesnt have too much chemicals in it, thats all I can think it is...
  8. Thanks for the advice guys, I was doing small regular water changes which were making no difference. Yesterday I did a 50% water change and added some algae killer chamical to the mix - seems to be clearer and fish are still happy. Will do another small water change after work today and just keep ontop of it.
  9. Its more a white merky at the moment, but a few weeks back i had to do a 70% water change as it was a thick green soup. There is high water flow with internal filters and i have been doing regular water changes. Iv had this tank for years and not done anything different which is strange. Do i have to spend up large and get a uv pump?...
  10. Hi there guys. I have a four foot tank, external filter, planted with silica sand. Only has about 20 tetras in it but is continuously going merky... I have never had issues in the past with this and with cobtroled feeds and no sun exposure. Any tips from anyone?
  11. I have one of the floating traps with the vents in the sides, so the filter gives a nice flow through. They are doing very well and getting bigger fairly quick which is cool. Only problem is I only have one tank ATM, ideally I need to convince the Mrs on a growing tank. Alas she knows what happens when she gives me an inch on this topic, so I wont hold my breath haha
  12. Regardless of the hilarious grammatical deficiencies and obviously insulting spelling errors, I wish you all the best in your pursuits and hope you enjoy the experience. MS spell check will fix spelling, unfortunately it can'nt fix attitude and personality for those who have an overwhelming sense of unfounded accomplishment. Be ready for physical pain and late nights/early mornings during your training, you will look back and think it was awsum.
  13. I may have stripped them slightly early in that case, but their yoak sack was gone in about two days so I wasnt too far off. They are all still going well with no deaths so far (touch wood). They are cool to watch and are just replicas of their parents.
