  2. I used to join in the Tauranga Club Meets via Webcam all the way from Levin :bounce: I was sort of there but not there, if you know what I mean. Whats happened to Rogan and Paul these days??
  3. Looks Great Cam :bounce: Maybe if you leave abit of a gap at the bottom of the perspex where it meets with the bottom of the Tank, you may get abit better water flow though the Tank that way. Cant wait to see it full of Fighters :bounce: I've just got a new Blue Boy and a new Red Boy, love them to bits, such Handsome Wee Fellas.

    white spot

I have to agree with you Bilbo. I dont muck around with Salt etc when it comes to Whitespot, I treat with Whitespot Cure turn the Temp upto at least 28, and it's under control in a few days

  9. Maybe give him abit of time to get it sorted As they say "Practise makes Perfect"
  10. I would probably try doing a Course of Furan2 in a Hospital Tank Furan2 should be available from your Petshop. Meds you should have on hand when having Discus are: Metronidazole 400mg tablets ( Need to get this from your Vet) Epsom Salts ( Supermarket will have this) Rock Salt (Supermarket will have this) Furan2 ( Petshop should have this) Droncit (Available from your Vet)
  11. You just never can tell Bilbo Hope something eventuates out of this Egg Laying for you :bounce:

  15. Very Nice Morcs Are you going to train your fish to jump through that Hoop
  16. I have this slight problem. I have quite a few Pregnant Guppys at the Moment, they dont seem to be having their Babys, they just seem to get Fatter and Fatter, then develop this Hunch Back, Scales start to come away from their Bodies, abit like when a Fish has Dropsy. Really not sure what to do with them. The tank they are in is having 2 Water Changes a day, Ammonia is sitting around .25-.50, hence the 2 Water Changes a day, only a newish tank. I Transfered a Tray of Media from my Community Tank and my Discus Tank Filters, ( I have 3 of the same Filters) so thats 2 trays of pre used Media, the Filters I took the Trays out of have been up and running for around 8 months now, I thought that would have been enough to prevent it from going through the Cycling period, but obviously not. The Male Guppys look fine, they dont develop the Hunch back thing like the Girls do. Any Ideas as to whats causing this??
  17. The only Fish I would remove would be the Angel.
  18. I would leave the other Fish in the Tank. Just keep up your Water Changes and they will all be fine.
  19. I would get rid of him too, your Discus will be much happier, without being stressed at feed times. Good Luck with the others Chris.
  20. I got White Spot with my Tank sitting at 30 Halved the Meds for my Loaches and had it sorted after 2 Doses.
  21. 2 Kribs and 4 Danios will be fine in the New Tank. Do you have a Heater in there?? Did you cycle the Tank?? Would also be a good idea to pop your Location into your profile, this is done by going upto the User Control Panel on the top right of the Screen, so other Fishkeepers no where you are
  22. Sorry to hear about the Death of your Discus When a Discus turns Dark it can mean a few things, Stressed, or Sick. I would think it has probably died from something else, as in Bacterial Infection of some sort, that seems to be awfuly quick to lose it. Was it showing any other symptoms?? Was it eating normally?? Firstly I would be removing the Pleco from the Tank, he is obviously causing the Discus to become Stressed at feed times if he is chasing them. That seems to be alot of Discus for the Tank size. I would also be doing more water changes than that a week, I do 3 water changes a week on a 215Ltr Tank that has 6 Discus in it. You could try popping the Discus with the Fungal Infection into a Hospital Tank and treating with abit of Wunder Tonic. With plenty of Water Changes it should come right in time.
  23. Just watch the Meds with your Clown Loaches  I have Clowns in with my Discus and always halve the Meds if treating the Tank for White Spot, do a good water change after 3 Days then dose again. I would also be more inclined to treat with the Metro in a Hospital Tank rather than treating your Main Tank. The info I gave you in the other Post, was what was given to me By the guy that Breed the Discus I now have. Good Luck
