  1. Don't overload your tank to begin with let it settle in for a while before addign to many fish. Your readings need to be: Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 0-20 Honestly leave your PH its not wirth the stress you cause the fish mucking around with it.
  2. Could be your test kit then, you really should be picking up something Nitrate wise if the tank has been running for that long. Could be a change in Diet as you say, you have wormed so its clealry not going to be that now, just keep and eye on it if it doesn't improve I would look at re worming.
  3. Hmm Interesting Do you add salt to your tank at all?

Amazing how they can regenerate their fins I had a discus that lost it's tail due to fin rot, tail was completely gone, with good clean water they regenerate quite quickly
  5. Usually the white stingy poo is a sign of worms/parasites, when did you worm them and what did you worm them with ? I would re worm a few times with a break in between treatments. You say your water prams are: 0ppm for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates ? How long has your tank been running? You should be showing some reading for your Nitrates? Cloudy eyes are usually a sign of bad water conditions. How often do you do water changes? How much do you change?
  6. What fish do yo have in there ?? Clearly you have had Loaches, if you still have Loaches, you wont be able to have snails, Loaches will EAT your snails. Are there just the snail shells left or is there still a body inside the shell? Doing a 30% water change as you said you did, shouldn't have killed the snails. Lynda
  7. Definitely Neon's, Cardinals red line continues through the length of the body Dwarf Gourami a good option for your tank as Discusguru has mentioned  Welcome to the world of Fishkeeping :bounce:

    One of my

Awesome Job well done Loving all of the planting Something about a planted tank, it always looks more alive if that makes sense.
  9. I would be rehoming the Silver Dollars and going for a peaceful planted community tank. I had Angel's and Neons together with no issues, I tend to get them when they're smaller then they grow up with each other and don't seem to both with each other when they're older. Could go with: Angels. Swordtails, Platties, Serpae's, Black Widows, Glowlights, Scissortails, Penguins, Neon's plenty of choices if you go to a peacful setup.
  10. I removed the original hood filter from my AR980 (they're crap) and replaced it with an Aqua One CF1200 external filter, the only mod I had to do was cut the hole bigger where the tubing comes out from the lid and down the back of the tank. I'm petty sure the Eheim tubing is smaller than the Aqua One so you may get away with not having to make any changes to accomodate the new filter. I fill the exsisting filter area with filter wool and run the spraybar across that, amazing how much crap it collects.
