  5. Classic Story about Loaches  I was doing a Re-Vamp in my Discus Tank not so long ago I had, had a couple of Clown Loaches in there for a while, noticed the Carcass of a Loach one afternoon , so thought ok I'm now down to 1 Loach  while I was re-vamping the Tank about a month after finding the Loach Carcass , I pulled out a large piece of driftwood, stood it up on it's end to easily get it out of the Tank, when I heard a PLOP , thought what on earth was that  , looked down into the Tank and there was my Lost Lonely Loach , man he was so big, so much bigger than I remember him being last time I saw him . He now has 8 new Loaches to play with 6 Clowns and 2 Botia :bounce:
  6. Back to the Drawing Board and the Tape Measure then huh Caryl

  8. I was always told the Transformer was the thingy that Zev posted a pik of, and a Ballast is the round thingy.

My Serpae's often have scraggly Fins, Lots of water changes and they're all good in no time at all, if looking quite torn, I will used Wunder Tonic.

  15. I dont know  Phoenix will try any old excuse to get his hands on some more Plec's, won't you phoenix
  16.  Thought I was having a moment of Insanity whetu
  17. I Gravel Vac everytime I do a Water Change I have 4 Extra Large Sword Plants in the Discus Tank, along with a couple of Large Pieces of Driftwood. I don't have a Hot Water Cylinder as Such, I have 2 of the Infinity 26 Hot Water Systems, so the water is pretty much fresh from the Water Storage Tank outside, as soon as you turn the Tap on. If your wanting Hot water the Infinity Heats it up as it comes through the Tap.
  18. I'm guessing it's the Pleco's too
  19. Replacing the Transforner or Ballast is pretty straight forward whetu
  20. Hmmm I just commented on this Thread it's mysteriously disappered Could be the Ballast or the Transformer, both are available from a good Electrical Supplier.

    FIN ROT

I've also used Wunder Tonic for Fin Rot and it worked a treat. Probably abit more easily accessible than Furan 2, I know the Petshop here doesn't stock Furan2, but they do stock Wunder Tonic.
  22. Ohhh NO Thats Shocking, can you cover the Inlet with a Piece of Pantyhose or something?? To stop them from getting in. I'm not fimilar with those Units so not sure of the Set Up.
  23. Could also be the Ballast, these are the round shaped things inside the back of the Lights. Electrical Suppliers will have them.
