  1. Have popped a Couple of Guppies in with this Big Fella now, just to see how they cope with the Higher Temps, so far they're doing well. I popped them int eh tank before heading off to Working thinking all the Time while I'm at work, I bet I get home and he's eaten them, but No, to my surprise, they're very happily swimming around together Have a Blue Turk thats given me problems from Day 1, I've done the whole Hospital Tank thing, treated with Furan2 then with Metro under the Instructions of the Great Discusguru (Ron), he's been back in the Main Tank for a couple of weeks now, not sure he's a Happy Chappy The other 6 Discus I have in the Main Tank harass him untill he goes and hides out in the back corner. I'm seriously thinking of moving him out of the Main Tank and adding him to the Tank that the Big Fella is in along with the Guppies. I'm sort of thinking maybe the 6 Discus in the Main Tank are seeing the other Discus as an Imposter so to speak, really hate seeing him being Bullied they way he is, he hasn't spent alot of time in the Main Tank, so they haven't really had the chance to grow together. Just want to see this Little Guy happy and healthy, he's having moments of turing Dark also, I'm thinking this is because he is stressed from being picked on all the time. I try and feed him sort of seperately, but that doesn't always happen either. Any other ideas are most welcome Lynda

  4. Here's abit of Info for you viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1417&p=13251&hilit=Carbonated+CO2#p13251
  5. I'm sure this has been done before. Only thing I think is, it would surely be beter to have Slow Release CO2, rather than putting it into the Tank in one quick burst. CO2 can cause fluctuations in the PH in your Tank. Meaning your Tank wouldn't have stable PH Levels. Will see what other Info I can find on this for you. Lynda
  6. Just logged into Photobucket a second ago, all working fine for me Not sure whats going on with you not be able to log in Caryl

  10. I too have a Discus that is being picked on by the others Mel. This is the one that I had in the Hospital Tank for a wee while, all he seems to do now is hide at the back of the Tank Think I might take him out of the Main Tank in a couple of weeks, after my new Discus comes out of Quarantine and pop them in together. My New Big Boy is doing great, I've got him in with a couple of Guppys just to see how they cope with the higher Temps, hoping to pop all of my Guppys in with him soon. Thought he would have eaten the Guppys by now to be honest, but he just watches them swim past him Good Luck with your Fella, awful seeing them get picked on, my Bigger Guys chase the smaller one away at Feed Times so all he seems to do now is hide out at the Back of the Tank in the dark
  11. Awesome News :bounce: Congrats :bounce:
  12. Think I wouldn't mind trying some of the ones Alan recommended, ambulia, and cabomba, might have to see if Phoenix can order me some in.
  13. Ok just did a search on the Crypto, Not sure I'm liking it, reminds me of a fancy sort of Val. How tall will Indian Fern Grow?? I got some Rotala from Animates on their Fun Day, not sure if I'm liking that either
  14. Might have to try the Crypto, I'm hoping thats the plant growing in the Centre of your Tank Simon??
  15. I have seen pics of Discus and Angels together, not sure if I would do it personally though. Angels can be quite Territorial but then again so are some of my Discus
  16. Wow, I found some very interesting Recipes on there Think I might have ago at making some Discus Tucker myself on the Weekend, have to admit, I do like the idea of Grating the Heart onto a Plate then popping into the Tank. Seems likea alot less mucking around. I have some frozen Shrimps in the Freezer is it ok to pop these straight into the tank or do I have to cook them before feeding?? Actually come to think of it, I think they are already Cooked.
  17. Maybe that has something to do with the height of the Tank  Is the one in the Shop deeper than the one you have at Home??
  18. Well orginally that was the only Mullet that came to mind
  19. I keep Pandas and Harlequins together no worries at all. I do agree with the having plants and little Hidey Holes for the Fish to hide in, if the feel the need to escape. I'm sure in time it will settle down.
  20. I've always kept Noeons and Cardinals with my Angels, never had a problem with them. How about adding some Rummynoses, Corys, Keyholes, Black Widows, Rosy Barbs, Golden Barbs, Platties, Swordtails, the List goes on and on
  21. Wow Thats a right little Stunner
  22. I've got 10 Harlequins, they all seem to get on fine. Haven't had any problems with them at all. I find Neons are Horrendous for getting White Spot, haven't had any of my Harlequins with White Spot yet.
