  6. eheim 2006. should have it at any pet shop that stocks eheim, and in welly you should be spoilt for choice. http://www.aquaristikshop.com/e_Produkt ... pickup.htm
  7. what about that really small eheim green filter thing? those are the best of their type.
  8. i use a really small hang on filter, and it works really well. they are in the same price range too i think.
  9. not really. sponge is too small. isn't powerful enough, it gets clogged way too fast...... among others...
  10. I'd say get acaras and stuff and other South Americans then. you can always have other fish in there too cause they acclimatise to conditions really well. Ive got 2 BGK's, various apistos, acaras, bloivian rams, some plecs, heaps of different types of cories (12ish),10 clown loaches, couple of pantadon butterfly's and angels...siamese fighter... etc...etc... and a cazillion plants, lol... tank works well
  11. unless you get hit in the eye
  12. flora pride does not have the same effect. you will see burn like marks on them if you overdosed on flourish.
  13. you do realise they are a German band?
  14. ha ha it was a rare treat and an awesome sight to see all the fish gather and feed off it. i used salmon cause it doesn't shed to pieces.
  15. the order lists call these plants bacopa. is it? cause i saw heaps in a while ago with purple flowers ...
  16. my royal plec used to eat slaters right out of my hand, lol. he liked eating fish too (used to leave extra bits of raw salmon in the tank and all the bottom feeders and the ghosts used to freak out).
  17. nice tank henward! :bounce: fish look so content!
  18. i presume you have used dwarf val as the foreground running plant? if so just remember it does actually get quite big (15 - 18 cms in my tank at the moment) so prune the longer leaves only once it establishes in the tank - you will know when cause one fine day you'll be like OMG where are my fish? LOL
  19. tank looks awesome! can only imagine how great it will look when the plants grow in.... and with that substrate! lol can't go wrong there! :bounce:
  20. they have very cool tails. long and finny.
  21. got a nice as house near the river. I got some of that tiger lotus too. not sure if it will go well in my nano so have kept it in the 4footer. when it grows (*fingers crossed) i may put some in the nano and let it over grow.
