take a syringe and injection and withdraw the fluid / bubble. do it carefully and try not to shake your hand, lol. it works.

ideally your intake will be in one corner of the tank, and the outlet will be in the opposite corner. you can even add a powerhead like i have and attach a air tube to it - looks kinda nice and helps water circulation.

put your heater (or 2 smaller ones) near the inlet and outlet of the filter - perhaps on the side pieces of glass. that should solve the heater problem. as for the size difference of the backgrounds - either position them in such a way that they do not look "funny" in the tank either by minimising the space at the bottom or the top. id say if its 10cm short, then put the background about 3cm from the top and 7from the bottom. then you can put a crap load of plants and gravel, Real Rocks (like big, flat ones) at the bottom. i have a picture in my head, i wish i could transfer it on to here, lol

point isn't the money. we took so much pride in knowing that other people were being helped in a good way. we were never showered with gifts either. infact if we got 300$$ worth of gifts we'd be thrilled too, lol.. its a good principle to live by one day my kids will be the same. rather have no kids than have spoilt kids as my mum says, ha ha.
