  1. i have a very cute 10week old black/white kitten. He is very friendly and loves to be around people (but he can be a little shy at first) he is using the litter box with no problems He is currently in the house with 3 other cats and a dog so he likes other animals. im after $40 for him (will take less if he is going to a nice home!) please PM me for photos if you are interested
  2. hi guys just wanting to check how many litres 6 silver dollars will need? im moving my fish around and trying to work out where they are all going to go!
  3. we have- Polo- 4 year cat. got her from our freinds when she was about 2, no idea why her name is Polo (think thats what happens when you let a 3year old name the cat!) Mo (or Moses when he is naughty)- 2 year cat. Partner named him that cause thats what popped into his head at the time. the name kinda fits him though cause he LOVES water Esky- 1 year old pure white cat. On our way back from Palmerston North, where we got her from, my partner and I were trying to think of things that were white. somehow we got onto talking about Eskimos and my partner though Esky would be a good name as we already have Mo! Coco- 6 month old puppy. Everyone asks why she is called Coco as she is more of the tan colour but she was named that before we go her. our fish are only named if they are something special- Frankie the 38cm pleco and Bullet the arowana
  4. 1) Currently i have cories and danios in the tank 2) i used white spot cure (thats what it has on the bottle but its the blue stuff- cant remember its name!) 3) the tank was at 26 but i have raised it to 28 tonight
  5. my 65 litre tank currently has white spot. i only saw it tonight and it is quite bad. i know what to do for whitespot but i am going away early on thursday morning until saturday. i have treated the tank for whitespot tonight any tips on what else i can do? should i do a water change?
  6. the tank is 1500 by 500( i think im not sure on the last measurement)
  7. currently he (or she how do you tell the difference?) is in a 525 litre tank. how long will it take him to out grow it? we asked at the petshop when we got him but they really didnt know
  8. Hi all, just interested to see what people are feeding their arowanas. we have a baby (only had him for about 3weeks) and we are mainly given him bloodworms and the arowana sticks but this seems a bit boring. i have done heaps of reading on the net on what to feed him but each site seems to say a different thing any advice would be great
  9. make sure you put all the bits in one box. we moved last weekend and went to set up the filter on tuesday night and cant find two bits for the filter! without them we cant set it up (lucky we have a spare tank that the fish are in!)
  10. hollywoods could do me for $500 and that included the courier fee when i wanted a FX5 i asked round and hollywoods had the best price (i go mine for hutt pets in the end but only because it was on sale for $500 and they were local)
  11. im proud to report that all of my cories are still alive i moved the wood round in the tank to make sure they had lots of places to hide and also did a really good gravel vac. i also moved some of the plants i might even buy some more now :bounce:
  12. what kind of water flow do they like?
  13. i havn't used flourish excel but i have been using FloraPride- would this effect them?
  14. because it is a planted tank it never gets a really good gravel vac but i did one about two weeks ago. would it help if I gave the tank a good clean and also did a gravel vac?
  15. yes they are dying on me. not in great numbers but very slowly. they were in a group of about 10 but that number is now down to about 6. they are currently in a 200 litre tank with guppies. the tank has lots of plants and small gravel (that is not sharp) i feed them bottom feeder pellets and they seem to eat a little bit of the flake and bloodworms that the guppies get they never have any marks on them at all and seem happy until i see them floating in the tank would a fright kill them? i know that the cats like to jump on that tank and try to get their paws under the lids
