  1. I would say that yes it is probably the reason. With crypts, the varying that occurs in one tank with regard to difference in light etc is amazing.
  2. Both of which are not allowed. V. tortifolia is the allowed type that Adrienne states she has.
  3. FWIW mine have never eaten another fish. They are full grown adults. Had them 3 years. I have kept guppies with them, currently have seven Longfin Zeb Danios and 6 guppies. They spend too much time digging to worry bout the other fish.
  4. I cant find mine. They hide all the time. One day I may see them.
  5. Dont listen to him :rotf: Glosso is an awesome plant. What better is that it is a native. It is very demanding though of light and will head toward the surface as soon as it is not getting enough. I grow it both inside and outside.
  6. Actually we have had two that I have attended. :sage: What I meant was people already bring surplus stuff to each meeting as you said. :cofn: I will email James with some suggestions :nilly:
  7. The lighting will not be enough to successfully get a carpet of Gloss but will definately be good for crypts. Are you wanting any particular Crypt?
  8. Very nice. I really like that and would love to be able to stare at that for hours. Would I be right in suggesting that the plant everyone is asking about is Pistia?
  9. I am 30 but in two weeks I will be 31. Male for those who dont already know me and I am taken. LOL
  10. I am also the parent of a nine week old. Sorry I cant really help you as I am learning myself, but what works for us is a Lazyboy. We sit and rock until he is deep asleep then place him in his bassinet with meditation music playing. We just persisted and then gave in and offered him a dummy. He falls asleep with the dummy then we remove it. We currently find he sleeps in 4 hour stretches at night but hardly during he day. Frontpack is a marvoulous thing as it enables us to continue to go about household stuff while he sleeps. Goodluck. I feel your pain.
  11. Email them to me Sophia and I will organise making an article for the home page. I have many here also but I never thought to post them up.
  12. Yes they are blood worms and yes they will be safe to feed to the fish. The fish will love you for it. The only trouble is sorting the worms from the rubbish at the bottom of the bucket.
