  1. Looking like we may be at this meeting. See how things work out .
  2. You will find that if you increase photoperiod you will begin to notice pearling. They are growing and releasing oxygen but this is being absorbed into the water. Once it becomes saturated with oxygen it will begin to pearl as the water can no longer absorb the gas hense it pearling. Keep what your doing and slowley increase the lighting period over the next week or few. Watch those plants boom.

  5. I know I have lots of cyano in my native tank. Will try get pics tonight. I have a bit of BRA. Will see if I can get some macros. As for thread algae, I just cleaned up a tank full last week. I know I also have pond scum algae outside. Issue is getting the misses to allow me enough time to try get some good pics. I will try

  8. I assume you have G. altifrons. Firstly, you have the sexes muddled. It is the male who is the one with the long fins. Where did you purchase these as a "breeding Pair"? The smaller rounded fin one is the female unless it is a subordinate male who is being pestered by the male and is hiding. Geos dig so get used to it. They wont stop, only get more busy. How big is the tank?
  9. I agree. I post mine the same as you Alan and never had a leakage or an issue. Any plants I have received with wet paper turn out as mush

    You should take the equipment out next time you photograph. Heater, drop checker etc. Very nice tank but beauty is spoiled with them. just a thought. Could look good as your screen saver then too :thup:

  16. Myriophyllum aquaticum is the only banned one I am aware of. The others are not easy to find though.
  17. Tell me if I have wrong end of stick but didnt you say it flowed then it stopped again? If this is the case then I doubt its an airlock. I dont believe an airlock is able to clear and then relock itself. Just a thought :dunno:
