  1. Water will begin to boil at 100C but if the heat is continued to be increased the water temp will increase also.
  2. Skunk loaches will eat Rams Horns but the issue is once the loaches are in the tank, forget about even thing about catching them.
  3. Yes have done all that. I am struggling to believe that the same thing can happen to two modems within 3 months. This is brand new and was going fine up until today. I will take it back and get a new one but wanted to check to see if anyone new of anything that may have caused this to occur.
  4. I am now onto modem number 2 in the last few years. For some reason the wireless function just stops and I am unable to figure why. I was lying in bed today and the missus asked who won the rugby last night, I didnt have a clue so I grabbed my cellphone and using wiFi I checked. That worked fine. Half an hour later nothing. The Wireless light will not show except for a few seconds at reboot of modem and I have connected via ethernet to the modem to check settings and all seems ok. This is now the 2nd modem to do this to me and I am at a wits end with it all. Anyone got any suggestions? Last one was Dynalink modem and this is an Edimax.

  10. even better than oak leaves is Alder cones. Not as messy and heaps for tannins than oak leaves.
  11. Wanna bet I think black background would be best though. Also, you will have problems trying to find oak leaves at this time of the year. Unless you saved some from Autumn that is.
  12. CA Glue is non toxic and is safe to use on the Anubias. It is much safer than using a pin which will damage the plant. You cannot take it immediately out of water and expect it to grow emersed. It will need very high humidity levels to be successful. It is a slow process but can be done. I have mine growing emersed now, but it took several months to settle in.
  13. Rain fade is just the name given by sky for an interupted signal. This can be caused by a multitude of reasons but extremely dense cloud or rain that blocks the signal is common, Hense the name "Rain Fade" The problem may be caused by many things but most likely a faulty LNB( the piece on end of dish) Most of the dishes people have on their roofs have been there for years and like most things these day they are made to a price and dont go the distance. What brand decoder are you using? ( I sell them so am a familiar with the basics of them)
  14. In the middle picture , Notice the clear bits of glass around the tubes. I could watch the worms grazing on the algae. I deliberately let it get that dirty as I was trying to learn what they were.
  15. Found some old photos of when I had them, Please excuse the quality as I did not own a decsent Digital Camera at the time.
  16. Yes I agree. I had these on my tank glass and could see a little worm moving at the entrance to the tunnel. Look at the ends of the tunnels and you will see it is usually free of algae as the worms appear to eat it. None of my fish were interested in them but maybe Gourami would eat them, I dont know.

    Hey all :)

    Welcome to the Forum.
  18. I did the same but it was the hail storm that killed my seedlings. Where did you get your mini Pumkin seeds from Ira?
  19. You will probably find liability will be what is stopping most from even considering. As the others have said. It is usually fairly easy to do yourself.
