  1. Drove past a stunning little stream today, had my net and a couple of bottles in the back and a camera..... Missus was craving a coffee so do you think we stopped... :an!gry
  2. lol, the silk "Milfoil" gets owned by even platies. probably not good for them either. I get the Really big ones i.e. ambulia style. and break them down into smaller plants and bunches every now and then people sell box loads of them on here though
  3. i've found some leak and some don't got some yellow plastic ones at work that leak like sieves and around 20% of the standard black ones do, but you just replace them.
  4. went through the last one in Brissy, not fun although got a 5 day holiday mates place had a boat stuck on his roof, there were things stuck on the TOPS of light posts... by all accounts this one will be as bad if not worse. my thoughts with your parents
  5. thats good, I didn' know that... funny though when reading they guidelines I found this they really do care
  6. If your council is using Chloramine, it breaks down in UV light, but it can release small amounts of ammonia. supposedly Chloramine has a half life of around 23-25 days btw, i've never had trouble with Axo's and Water conditioner.....
  7. I think the apricot gerbera would look stunning in your cichlid tank ( ) best to email them, I think those ones may have metal wire cores that may rust
  8. welcome, always good to see someone new that well and truely has the bug
  9. attempting a lights out (wouldnt call it full black out) for 3 days while I wait on the next order that should contain furan 2 if I don't get it, have a friendly Vet nearby for the ethro... we shall see what happens.
  10. If you want to go really cheap I think you can purchase bulk Sodium Thiosulphate some one on here was selling some a few months back
  11. btw I soaked some of our Waikato colour (Hokeypokey) in a cup of water for a week, and got a 0 phosphate reading,. what food are you using???? Are you using the Activated Carbon pads (some brands of Activated carbon can leach phosphates, bu as far as im aware not to this level)
  12. hrmmm, Lime chip by far the cheapest, normally around $15-20 for a 20L bag
  13. the limestone chip would work well in the sump, tends to dissolve slower and the larger chunks wouldnt gunk up very fast at all

    Project AA

It looks like Oscar the grouch's bum
  15. google Okinawa and goto google maps, look for the airport (its at about a 45 degree angle, if you get the north/south running one your at the wrong airport) At the south side about 3/4 of the way up and on a building just to the right, zoom in and see if you can see anything unusual... nananananaannaananannana or if your too lazy, type 26.357865,127.783782 on google maps
  16. I found Sophia in a meme (sorry forgot to paste)
  17. hrmmm, come home and down a bottle of Avitrol and you'd be fine, well worth a dive in those lakes imo
  18. imo cats have a lot of fun, ever looked into their eyes as they rake their claws down your arms??? I think a lot of organism's have "fun" and its a bit egotististical for us humans to think we are the only ones who play. how are we to know what a bacteria considers "fun" watched a Budgie today have "fun" with its perch.......
  19. unfortunately Furan 2 is long gone and had no need of it for over a year, not even for customers. erythromycine is prescription only and therefore costly (plus has a shelf date) so is not worth it until all options are expired.
  20. best treatment for columinaris is furan2, follow instructions on packet.
  21. you got a croc phobia??? swam with freshies in queensland good fun and made the tourists freak out.
  22. Cause already sorted, unable to increase flow due to design of tank (all the cords are built into the stand :an!gry ) was a phosphate increase due to someone adding "pond" fertiliser sticks, and I forgot to turn lights off over night. water changes have fixed phosphate problem (down to 0) and Nitrates are barely registering on the test (so around 0-2.5 ppm) even though it still manages to recolonise in about 2 days.
  23. has anyone had any experience using furan 2 for Cyano, one of my Display tanks is making me tear my hair out, and being a store display tank I can only do a partial black out if at all....
