thats the main reason I'm trying to breed leopard fish as quick as possible..... to offer better options for people who think a heater is to expensive. tbh im getting a bit sick and tired of the attitudes people have towards fish.

also make sure you remove/cover all of your equipment. no point covering the tank if your gravel siphon/bucket etc... gets bombed

the pink plant (probably traded as Pink Rose) is not a true aquatic and will not do too well, might be worth removing it before it rots and pollutes your tank. otherwise looking awesome

is the shaft seated correctly in the rubber bit at the bottom of the impeller housing?? (and the top?) Did you replace the impeller as well, if you are getting noise then it sounds like the motor is working and the impeller is the problem, it may have worn down and become unbalanced when it was running with a broken shaft

The blue ones are most likely Borrelli's Apisto, one of the more peaceful apisto's imo but one of the most intelligent. -
im just using regular topsoil (as weed free as possible) with about 1/8th of the volume river sand for drainage. they are going mental in there
