    there is no brand but there is a few high quality manufacturers that will build to order. support your local, i'd rather have custom made than mass produced anyday

    did you also link their details to DOC??? lil craps need to be dealt with. whats the point of having the fines in place if they aren't used??? seriously the Coarse fishing association of NZ should be fined every time a new incursion is located. btw got a guy that was intent on releasing koi to take a light (.5kg) spinning outfit to the drain he wanted to infect and he caught some large banded kokopu and had a blast..... one down.....

    thats from the Te Ara website. from AUT Treasures of the sea.co.nz states that 3 species of sepiida have been observed in NZ waters but none are endemic

    I know that DOC funds cat trapping on leisure island in Tauranga to protect the penguin breeding colony.

    Have 3 atm, but try locally as I am a bit hesitant to ship that far.

    I know a guy who traps them and puts them on the road side for their owners to pick up. he hardly sees any cats now

    I think they retail for around the $20-30 mark. the ones I have seen are bred by our local fish farm and are stunning. the males tend to develop their lumps a bit later but have the patterning early on, females are stunning too

    can I just say, check out "geophagus steindenachari" (I hope I spelt that right) smaller growing Geo, reasonably peaceful and pretty to boot. hade a trio in with some Firemouths for about 6 months now and no signs of agression.

    Its legal as long as you follow all gun laws and make the effort to be humane. technically you are allowed to shoot any animal that is on your property unless it is a protected species.

    :iag: good to see it put into words... but then again my coldwater tanks in the garage dropped to 10 degrees last winter, so i'll keep my heater on. I find I have more trouble with heaters sticking on and cooking.

    it must have taken a heap of effort to get the rudd there though, so someone has to know who did it. then again, I doubt there will be much investigation by the police

    ummmm... aren't you the one asking for better quality imports????, how do you expect that to happen if you only deal privately. most good stores will offer a one off garantee if you talk to the manager and explain your situation properly, I gave a girl a 2 week garantee the other day on a $100 fighter I specially ordered in for her, the babies are now growing and I have first dibs for 1/4 wholesale price.
