1. Tank looks good. To get it to show the photo you need to have it is this format:
2. Welcome, looking forward to hearing more about your fish, and good luck getting a new tank.
3. I heard about PETS's latest idiotic stand this morning. I might just have to watch that, sounds like it will be funny. (yay for watching the tv one hour behind, you know what the good things to watch are)
4. Look's good, I may just have to add it to my Christmas wish list.
5. Looks good, can't wait to see it once the plants start fulling out. I can see a fighter fish in there, are any other fish planned to be stocked?
6. Yea, there is nothing wrong with more tanks, MTS is infectious and there is no cure. Just note there is no thing as a small turtle, they all grow relatively large so be a good pet keeper and don't get one unless you have a long term plan for it. Not that I am trying to discourage you not to do it, they are cool animals and I love my two. Great looking tank though, definitely would look better with more WCMM in it.
7. Personally I wouldn't do it. the WCMM and loaches like faster flow, where the betta likes slow to no flow, and the temperature requirements for the fish are different, which means at least one of your fish will be unhappy. Personally I would get more WCMM's as a large school of them is fun to watch and are as cool as any larger fish. At the moment my loach/WCMM tank is my favorite tank to watch.

Ira's tank

Nice tank, what is the stock in it?
9. I agree, the 25 in my tank don't look like many, I am planning on getting more, and I have large amounts of rock in there cutting down water volume.
10. I have a school of about 25 in a 60L, they are nice and easy to keep, they don't need it but mine like the fast flow in my tank (~2000L/h in a 60L)and it does make them a bit more enjoyable to watch.
11. Had great fun at the meeting, thank you for hosting. You should join, meeting new people are fun, and we all know people who like fish are more interesting…..
12. Amazing photo's, I think I just broke my keyboard with the drool.
13. Looking forward to seeing you there. :happy2: :happy1: :happy2:
14. Wow, those 'snake pits' look amazing. I don't think I would be ballsy enough to keep poisonous snakes though.

Plec ID?

Looks like an albino bristle nose to me.
16. Drool, making me wish even more that we could keep snakes in nz.
17. Welcome, good luck with breeding guppies, post pictures when you get some nice colors.
18. I didn't know that, but I did leave them in there for a week or so after the ones I could see were well moldy, in the hope that there were some that were hidden that were going well, but now they are in the main tank, so they can still hatch, but less chance of them growing up into a big fish due to predation.
19. Depends on your water source. The reason you use conditioner is to remove chlorine. (that if left it will damage fish gills, and destroy your bio filter potentially killing them). It your water source doesn't have chlorine in it you don't need to use water conditioner. i.e. I am on a rain water tank and never use any water conditioner. What conditioner you use a lot of it comes down to personal preference, but I believe that sachem prime is the best, and although it seems more expensive you use less of it so it lasts longer. I have heard other people agree with that to. I hope that answers your questions.
20. Although I am not 100% sure that the male (albino one) is large enough to be fertilize the eggs yet, but I will keep trying, as breeding and growing out some poly's will be a big accomplishment for me.
21. No, most of them were eaten as they were laid, and they few that survived went moldy in a few days. I will be trying again after various holidays over summer, and actually separate the fish this time though so that I can get more eggs.
22. As long as you don't mind them getting eaten it is fine to leave them in the tank, the protein will be good for the wcmm. If you want to increase the chance of them surviving adding something like java moss will give them something to hide in. But well done, the fact they are breeding shows that your fish are happy in your tank.
23. Welcome, seems like you have quite a few tanks there.
