The egg. When the first animal that had the genetic mutation that made it a 'chicken' in stead of what ever was before, it hatched out of an egg before being the 'chicken'. The egg came first, it is the only logical answer.

Americans, GT and JD, guess I keep them to well feed, as I have only ever seen my poly's take live fish that I have put in there.

In my experience cichlids aren't great at taking feeders. Poly's on the other hand All ways hunt down anything that I put in the tank. What you going to be breeding?

I was thinking the same, but having never kept sev's (mainly because I am afraid that they will just get beat up) I wan't sure. GT are one of my favorite cichlids, so much personality. hmmmmm, finished it a bit early there, could have spent atleast another 20 minutes on it.... :gigl:

My large del and senegal live happily with my cichlids, they don't really get harassed. Just it is not recommended to put them with plecs as plec's can suck on there slime coat stressing and potentially killing them.

Sounds cool, sort of like what I would do in a tank that size. Add GT to the list, they are as cool or cooler then the other cichlids on that list. Personally I would cut the plecs and add poly's in there instead as poly's are cooler and more active. IMO

Not sure, but some pics could help out. How many clown loaches do you have, and what size tank? It sound like one is just stressed, has faded colourations and is struggling because of that.

Especially as they were really close to each other, started standing out in the open, you would expect the police to be reasonably good at aiming, and the white gang should be just as good, and if not the automatics should make up for it.

Some where that sells food at mission bay? At the meeting I think I remember it being said 'fish and chips', but i suppose that rely's on the weather being nice. -
And if it was a chlorine based bleach, and you are really worried, then just soak it in some water with prime (or what ever chlorine remover you use) added to it to remove/de-toxify the chlorine.

It was a very dramatic end of the episode. The end possibably has to be one of the most unrealistic gun fights in tv/movies though, it was rather disapointing to watch, they should have just stopped the episode at the stand off.

Not watching the mfk thread, so don't know what has been suggested, but I say don't spoil the theme of your tank by getting non-south americans. I would suggest getting an amazonian cat as clean up crew, something like Hoplo cat fish, don't look as good as the loaches, but they still do the job and keep with the theme.
