definately a veiltail
some bettas heal quickly, some slowly, some not at all.
as others have said, the best thing you can do is watch out for fin rot and hope for the best.
that 2nd one was a beast. Liquefaction covering the backyard again, 2 male fighters got together, no water, no sewerage, power has just returned and the streets down the road are flooded knee deep with water
that was a pretty decent one
i was watching my fish breed when it struck so i held on to their tanks as if my life depended on it. the bublenests fell apart and the eggs dropped out... hopefully father will not eat them.
power went out for a while
hopefully exams will be postponed :roey:
Wow thats a fail on my behalf...To be honest I know nothing about bristlenose species. I thought they were all the same  The things you learn huh
yay
I feed microworms for the first few days then chuck 'em on bbs until they can eat adult food...i dont rinse them though, just water change before i add more bbs in... apparently microworms arent as nutritious.
its fun to watch the fry chase the bbs
hmm body shape and anal fin suggest female.
My males act aggressive to females if i add one to their tank. if your male has been by himself for a while he might have claimed his tank as his territory. in the wild bettas only let females that are ready to breed enter their territory, then he chases her away once theyve finished.
it is possible that its a young male in which case awesome!
My fighters managed 13 days before power returning. I just wrapped up the tank in polystyrene and blankets to keep it warm. The fighters didnt seem to mind, they were busy building bubblenests
