Because they are tropical fish they need warm water. If you lived in Tailand you could keep them without heaters or if you had a room that stayed at a constant warm temp but if not, then NZ is a cold place for a fighter to live

my male wasnt keen on the females either so I added indian almond leaf to the water before introducing the female. it works wonders. but sometimes they are too old

Thats sucks. which exam is that for? mine are all spaced out a week apart from each other This one is Stephs but he killed one of her guppies so I've been looking after him ever since. I get to breed him!! yeah its almost impossible to take a good picture of fish goodluck in your exam

This guy was the father, the female bet him up :evil: I dont have a photo of the mother, I had to give her back to my friend. But she looked very similar to this lady except her tail didnt have as much spread and the result its my first spawn so its sort of an experiment I'll probably get deltas-SD but if I'm really lucky some HM may pop up

A foolish error. When intending to spell "trilobite" I added an extra "i" in the wrong price...But trilobites are one of my favourite extinct animals.

I've mainly got HM, SD, delta and a rose tail. I've got a VT "Edgar" who is my absolute favourite I've just started getting into breeding though. and have 1 week old hm fry at the moment pretty excited!

That would be awesome! If you could do that I would honestly be the happiest person SamH- so many reasons but mainly because I love how they look. Their fins are so crisp and small and because I've never had them, they are so elusive
