  1. or just urinate in the tank... :dunno: will do the same thing. will you be using a filter in the tank?
  2. those are all amazing, loving the yellow, havnt seen one that yellow since i got mine from Rhys. All these photos are making me want to get back into fighters again, so i might have to make a visit again soon
  3. i didnt realise that aquarius is in Waiau pa!
  4. http://www.doc.govt.nz/conservation/thr ... acts/rudd/ thats what rudd is
  5. theyre only empty because im slowly redoing my fish room so it has an automatic waterchange system, its a bit hard doing it with all the tanks inplace and full of water. they will be full.... next year.
  6. i have 4 running, 15 empty waiting...
  7. too hard basket, it will get covered by the gravel, just patch the corner, and dont be stingy with the size of the patch.
  8. i would second what Katrina said except -Baby Brine Shrimp (takes 1-2 days to hatch) -Decapsulated BBS -Infusoria (found in dirty pond water) -Boiled Egg Yolk (pollutes water if you use too much) -Liquifry (hard to get the fry to eat this though) -Microworms -Daphnia can be too big -Green water I would have a go with the egg yolk one, just a small pinch of yolk, in about a litre of water. shake it all up and only add a drop 3-4 times a day. keep the bottle in the fridge and shake before each use. but keep up with the daily+ waterchanges
  9. pet stop was in papakura wasnt it?
  10. helps if i read the post correctly, pet stop not pet shop franchise store
  11. sounds all a little cryptic there mate, i havnt been to a LFS for a while, and im guessing your talking about animates?
  12. o i see, looked like it was coated in concrete
  13. so wheres the panel to open it up to set all the rc gear up? please dont tell me the antenna comes out his bum like a stringy poo too
  14. I will second that, or 10 dannios, either or, the dannios are generally alot more active and can be seen zooming around the tank alot.
  15. im trying LA! i should have a red moscow coming my way soon so i can make a start
  16. Lawn Bowls! and no im not an old man, im only 24!
  17. That list is everything you need, apart from a fish net, and dechlorinator if you wish to use it. it would be better to list other fish you like then have us say yes/no if theyre good with your kuhli, but most community fish will be. i dont know shops down you way but Hollywood fish farm in auckland will have them and they do post.
  18. i have a similar problem but i just over feed the tank now, feed down one end with a large pinch of flake then when the rams come out to see whats going on i put mor flake in the areas they are in the tank
  19. would need a few lead sinkers to overcome that poly to make it half sink though, would be weird having a whole shark ontop of the water lol
  20. ive got a ladder too and thought it was great, never have any bubbles reaching the top of the ladder so thought it wasnt wasting any...
  21. whats you blonde ones look like? TBH ive been calling mine snake skin / pastels, some of my males dont have the snake skin patterning and have more of a pastel blue colour to them so hence the 'pastel' name ive been giving them, they shouldnt be too diffrent from yours as theyre from the same line
  22. so whats the plan with this beast? add a motor and some RC gear and have yourself a fun toy to take to the beach to 'show' the children while theyre swimming.
  23. i would put her back in unless you overcrowded them or havnt got lots of places to hide and yes she will get new claws
  24. but it will hide the big rock you put on the lids on the front! and the lights will still hold down the back but realistically you could put in a large wooden spacer that goes between the glass lid and the lid of the hood you lift to feed the fish.
