  1. Here's an auction that would be perfect: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Toys-models/Radio-control/Planes/auction-145888186.htm Except the stickers, oh no not the star stickers!

    Faulty heater!

All mine that have failed, have always ended up cold.
  3. The Warehouse has them too.

    Faulty heater!

Most(Or many) tend to drift a bit over time. Just turn it down a bit. Oh and I thought you Canadians were supposed to use the correct degrees?
  5. 1000 LPH is barely even a powerhead! I have a couple Via Aqua 1300s too. They're good and cheap, only thing is after a while they don't want to restart. Nothing poking a toothpick or other convenient long object in to poke the impeller won't fix. Occasionally they get noisy, usually it's because something's wrapped itself around the impeller.
  6. *GROAN* I just turn the hot tap all the way up and if it's too hot turn the cold higher and if it's too cold turn the cold tap down.
  7. I vaguely remember hearing at one point that you're not allowed to keep any kind of farm livestock(In the case I heard it specified chickens) in the city. But I did just have a quick look on the Wellington city council website and couldn't find any mention of it. Obviously noise would be the major issue if they're not specifically banned.
  8. I'm guessing the previous ones were also eaten by the goldfish? Didn't that give you a clue that maybe goldfish and little bite size nibbles don't go together?
  9. I'm always amazed at the number of people who don't get timers for their lights. They're so cheap they're practically free!
  10. If he's never even flown an RC plane then you don't want to get him a piper cub, you'll want something less fragile than that.
  11. I don't think it matters much if you're gentle while crushing the sticks or vicious.
  12. The major reason they had dreads back then is the total lack of modern hygeine. When you don't have soap, only cut your hair once a year and only wash when you get rained on...
  13. Danios are easy...Try catching silver sharks in a big tank. Not only are they fast, they splash everywhere! I once spent about half an hour trying to catch 3 big ones with no luck...Then caught all 3 at the same time in one scoop.
  14. That one has two 12v 7ah batteries, so 14 ah capacity. A 20 watt load at 12v would be 1.66 amps. 14 amp hours/ 1.66 amps=8.5 hours. Which is a good long time, but not 50 hours. And realistically it's probably going to be less than that.
  15. I don't think there is any such thing as a good dreadlock....
  16. Or point the outlet/spraybar downwards. Gouramis don't care if the bottom of the tank is a bit breezy.
  17. Who's the dirty XXXX I mean I was framed!
  18. Only for the RTF toys. None of the serious gear uses 27 mhz.
  19. Some of us have to do this thing called "Work" while at the place where we earn our money...
  20. And most UPSes especially that you'll get for sub $150 run off a single 7-12 ah lead acid brick. Say you have 20 watts of filters that's going to last you at best 7 hours before it's absolutely dead. And 20 watts is a small cannister filter.
  21. I can't imagine that anything would be sold to the general public that's even remotely that sensitive that tilting it will "Mix the gasses" and destroy the TV. Beyond the obvious that it would likely need to be tilted at some point during installation, even the slightest little bumps would cumulatively mix the gasses. Maybe someone was playing a joke on the grunts moving the furniture?
  22. Sounds like fun...Too bad I'm not in Auckland.
  23. But then, the density of the fish is also significantly less. Probably more on par with one small fish per 400L tank.
