  1. Good light and plant it out so that it does not get too crowded as the bottoms will rot and break away. It does well with addition of CO2 and ferts.
  2. Found it, http://www.bk.com/en/us/campaigns/subse ... icken.html
  3. It just like the one that was around a few years ago with the man dressed as a chicken. You gave him commands and he did it. Was funny to watch until you made him do all possible moves. Ask him to do something rude and he waved his finger at you. Funniest thing was making him trash the room. Does anyone know if this is still going? I cant remember the name
  4. I guess you mean Value for Money, LOL For ease I suggest JBL 7+13 Balls Or any nutrient rich substrate like Daltons Aquatic Mix or Laterite etc

I still have hastifolia Also there is Afzelli, which I had but somehow lost during a tank change. Im still after Minima if anyone can help
  8. I always get mine the day after you send them too Caryl. Must be a Wanganui mail thing. Funny though as all our mail goes to Palmerston North then sent here.
  9. Plant it and put rainbows in it. Trust me you wont regret it.
  10. I know you asked for a PM, but Ill say it here so you dont get every single person mentioning it to you. Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Basically if there is an abundance of Electric Yellows around then they are not really worth much unless they are of a particular quality. Have a look at trade me and get an idea what people are asking and what people are bidding on. Common Plecos and Bristlenoses for example can be hard to even give away. Hope this helps. Not trying to put a damper on your plans but rather pointing out the common issues when selling anything.
  11. So long as the tank is well planted with heaps of hiding spaces then yes.BUT Apistos get very territorial when spawning so consider this. In my opinion you are best to keep these in their own tank and try to breed them. They are rare in NZ and it would be great to get them breeding. Do you have access to some Hongslois?
  12. Nature does so.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Te_Waikoropupu_Springs
  13. How old is that atlas?? Apistos are still being discovered. Here is one of my female Borelli Compare these two Here is a Steel Blue( Mine) And a Male Eunotus Not my pic. I have these but have no photos yet Here is a picture of my Tri Male
  14. Is the trailer big enough to put Hollywoods Mt Roskill store on it? Id be keen to get that brought down  Im off to trawl trade me for the bargains now. LOL
  15. Lucky find. There are lots here in the Whanganui river but I have never seen them myself. I know some of the older Maori folk up the river still catch them for food. I have seen the traps they make for them but not the fish.
  16. The most important thing you can give it is Time
  17. You could use Watersprite as an alternative. Grows real fast and does ok in low to moderate light. Or if you have bright light you could use riccia.
  18. The plant in both of those vids is Pistia Stratiotes, an unwanted organism in NZ. Sorry to say.
  19. From my experiances it just gets bigger and bigger. It just keeps growing into one giant ball of moss.
  20. Really depends on what plants you are planting into it.Root feeders like Crypts and Echinodoru will use it up faster than say Stem plants. I have a tank planted out in only cryptocorynes and it has been running going on two years now. It has only about 2 cm layer of daltons aquatic mix. It is excelent value for money and lasts a reasonable amount of time. I need to pull the tank apart soon as it is totally full of crypts and I can t see the bottom of the tank. HTH
  21. Hygro will grow to the surface and spread across blocking the light to the glosso etc.
  22. Dude, So sorry to hear that. I hope your Devin CD collection survived Pump up some Ziltoid and keep positive. I really feel for you guys in Christchurch and surrounding areas that have had to deal with the trauma. Glad your fish made it too Simon PS, This should put a smile on your face, I cant help but smile watching this (for others reading this, ignore it as you prob wont find it funny)
  23. Worst case scenario you could feed some dissolved yeast. Go get some green water from a water trough. Im sure you could find some some where near your house.
  24. How do they predict this? Is it from previous quake statistics? I really feel for you guys down Canterbury. I wish I could help somehow.
