Thanks
I have a Canon 550D. These were taken using 100mm macro lens. I love it. Today was the first time I got to go outside and really play with it.
4 and 5? There are only 4 pictures Barrie. LOL
My fav is the ant with the fly. I took nearly 50 shots just to get one that looked ok. It was hard with such a narrow DOF and its fast movements.
I appreciate all comments and critiques. It all goes to help me take better photos.
Glad it arrived safely. I hope it does ok for you. Its a bit of a mess where I have it growing. Hence some of the small sticks in amongst it all.
Keep updating the photos as it grows
MTS are live bearing snails. They also are able to self fertilise so think very hard before you add them to your tank. Because od the shell shape, some fish wont eat them and the shells are very hard.
Breed some Apistogramma.
They are always in demand as they do well in a community setup and NZ has way to few of them available. We need to get them out there and keep what we have here available. Many times I have lost a fish and never been able to replace it as they are not too common.

Flash memory is cheap as chips.
What is expensive about it? I used to sell 256mb SD cards for $99.00(mind you, cameras were only 2-3 megapixels)
The price of flash memory has done nothing but got cheaper over the last few years.
You young people complain about the most trivial things. LOL
I recently made a blackwater biotope tank. Black water biotopes tend to be lacking naturally in plants as there is usually little amounts of light.
Here is a link to my set p.

I like a range of books. Especially like Non Fiction travel/Adventure.
This book is a very interesting read and it is fish related. Will make you think twice before eating fish

In the fiction area I am a fan of
Stephen Donaldson
Stephen King
Richard Laymon
Lee Child
James Patterson
Tom Holland( I recommend his stuff if you like vampyres etc)
Hunter S Thompson
Robert Holdstock
And whatever other books I come across.
Well after a long wait my camera finally arrived.
I went out this morning to a local bush reserve and took a few photos.
I like these two
I have heaps more, but for some reason I have nearly doubled my data cap with telecom even though I have done nothing more than I do most months without coming near my 10gb allowance. Something fishy is going on as I have never hit my data cap before and this month I have not really been online much.
It took me nearly two hours to upload the few that I did.
Cant tell from the video. You say you collected some. Are you able to take some pictures close up of the stem and leaf structure. I am interested to know what it is also. I am currently on the look out for new plants to be used in an aquarium.
Looking good. My opinion is it needs more sand in the bottom for the Geo's to dig around in.
Also adding some Anubias will add a feature to the tank. It looks kinda empty at the moment.

What to look for when choosing? Healthy lush green leaves with no sign of melt.
How do they propergate? Most commonly via runners. In wild they also flower and seed.
Are they all the same? NO, there are different types of Cryptocoryne and they come from varying environments. Some require hard water and some come from blackwater regions. Some prefer more light some prefer shade. All require nutrient rich media to grow in and to be left alone and not disturbed.
Does that answer you questions?
