  1. Looking good Sam. You can use plastic card to help retain the substrate. Can't wait to see this one planted...
  2. pfffft. All tanks have a stunt double or 10. would you like me to post all the pictures that look like your tank?
  3. Sweet. You must have the balance just right.... Next time I'm in Rewa I'll drop you off some powdered ferts.
  4. UPDATE Tanks progressing well, just need to sort the front right corner where it's a bit too shaded for glosso. Co2 comes on an hour earlier than before and seems to be making a difference. Needs a trim...
  5. Looking great Sam.... Have you thought about adding some stems to give a bit of height at the back? Plants look nice and healthy
  6. Or a bath..... :happy1:
  7. I've thought about a bigger tank, but it's taken a lot of investment to get all the gear for this one and I've still got a shopping list! :slfg: I'm currently house hunting and have a baby on the way, so my wife would throw me out if I went and bought a 120cm opti-white
  8. A fair way off Amano's scapes... But, glad you like it :slfg:
  9. Changed the lighting today from 2x36w tubes to a 70w halide. The hairgrass at the back needs a trim but will wait until it's thickened up before shaping. Can't wait till the umbrosum grows in....
  10. UPDATE Planted to day some dwarf sag, dwarf hg and some umbrosum. Added the new Co2 mist diffuser, amazing micro bubbles everywhere. I needed to tighten my Co2 fittings to handle the extra pressure required. Water was a bit cloudy after a mega water change and a few spots of GSA.. Crappy camera for this photo
  11. Woops... must of posted at the same time
  12. Depends if there are plenty of unaffected leaves. I usually trim off any badly affected leaves so minimises the chance of the algae growing back. If they're not too bad you could try spraying an excel solution on them when they are emersed during a water change and watch that algae die. :spop: Sometimes it's just easier to sacrifice the bad leaves..... Usually the bad ones are in poor health anyway
  13. I used gumtree.com to find my job in London. it's a good idea to join a temp agency so hopefully you can earn some quick £'s as it's a strain on the pocket when you first arrive. For example my first job was in a warehouse earning £15,000 :tears: Then, found a real job and jumped to 27,000 quid  I've only been back for 18 months after a 4 year stint if you need any tips
  14. Next time I will, The heater will eventually go for good when I find a good deal on an external.
  15. They require 35psi I think to work. Some shops are selling them as Co2 bazookas
