it is crushed marble or oragonite that is the white sandy type substrate. I got mine through my lfs, they orfered it in. Mine went brown early on but after a few months it stayed white. An existing tank more than likely won't have an algae problem, just make sure it's well rinsed before putting it in the tank.

its a pretty full on storm up here, much worse than auckland at the mo & supposed to get worse around 6 tonight. the police have closed central whangarei & there's heaps of flooding in most low lying places.

i feed all sorts of food to my africans. main diet consists of Sera granumeat, Sera granugreen, sushi wrap & jbl novo rift sinking sticks. I also feed blood worms but only once a week. Other foods that work well are shelled peas, brocoli & mozquito larvae.

i feed my grow out tank alot more per fish than the display or breeding tanks. due to this there is alot more algae & feaces etc so i do two water changes a week.

mine often hang out upside down under the canister spraybar or almost upside down in the front corner of the tank. my heart stills races a bit when i see them doing that, "is this the time they are really dead?"

i heard the news release today & they said $979 for the prepay 3G phone 8GB & $1149 for the 16Gb version.

the female should be uncoloured but the only true way is to vent (check their bits) them, male has two holes the same size & female has one larger than the other. male = head oo tail female = head o0 tail pretty sure thats the order.

you have some time to either get a larger tank or sell on when bigger. they take over 20 years to get to that size

if its a 34 tank (small) i would put it in the hot water cupboard, that'll keep the temp up.

we need a bit more info, what substrate are you using? is there any wood in the tank etc?

pleco, a larger version of a bristlenose satfish basically. You could add angels & or gaurami, they generally hang around the top of the tank.

he is a star, i do not read wheels but i was the same with street machine. i admire his staying power, i had to give evrything up when i started a family. -
this week when i have not loit the fire my tank has stayed at around 27.8 deg. When i light the fire it goes up to 30 without the heaters coming on.
