its funny you say she spat them by herself. My baenschi female is the only female that i have come accross that spits them when she is caught. Basically if you don't catch her immediately & have to chase her a bit she panics & spits in the tank. When i catch her straight away she spits in the cotainer. All the other females i have you have to strip them. Some are really easy & others are always difficult but they are consistant, my yellows just lay there & let them go when you open their mouths but the red zeb fights for every baby.

the axies i had were handled & brought out of their tanks regularly through out their lives. from what people had told me, they gradually get used to air. My son would take mine out for 10 mins at a time & they were fine.

i got fish from alex in wellington on NZ couriers. he dropped them off at around 5pm & they were at my door at 8am the next morning. the poly box was labelled "live fish".

What looks like this at adulthood? this is one of my juvie tropheus doboisi (thanks johannes & lynn), i like the look so much i want something like this as an adult. for those who are unaware, they change to a dark blue with a wide yellow band as an adult.

i have had one for two years & its mint. i added a canister but kept using the hood filter & can overstock my africans no problems. In time you'll appreciate the alloy hood as it won't deteriorate & will remain strong, even if its your cats favourite place to sleep! The cabinet will last longeras the foil covering wraps around the front edge of the panels to help stop water getting in to.

& the bigger the get the faster than can shift gravel.

clown loaches grow up to about 25cm, it does take 20 years for this to be achieved so small clowns will be ok for a while. they will need a large tank in the future though
