  1. i was hoping that was the case but didn't want to be rude .
  2. the dimensions are 4m X 1.5m X 1.5m, 9000Litres not including the sump.
  3. just browsing though old thread and came across this one. every now and then i update my self on what amano is doin and his "home tank" so i thought i'll share some of what i've found here. here is a good link to the initial build of the tank [just hover ur mouse over the numbers on the left. http://www.naturacquario.net/amano/all05/ plumbing, the silver canister thing at the back is the UV-C system, the one at the front is CO2 Over flow Sump unfortunatly i cant find the link where i found the pics below but its the most recent public pics of the tank. taken mid 2005 the last one 2006 [its been my wall paper ever since] this one is of his pond which really deserve a thread all to itself. this is the view from the pond in to the lounge where the tank is
  4. nice looking panaques u got there flatfish, how many LDA31 do u have? and sex ratio?
  5. thats looking fantastic, its too bad that the grit didnt stay red or is that just the pic?
  6. i mix my own in a blender than freeze. [fish, shrimp, brine shrimp, tucker, and all different types of veges] why would it scare her? if the flow is coming from the other side she shouldn't feel the current at all. beautiful looking plecs by the way. nice pic.
  7. reading that made me cringe. ur able to type this the day after u trooper
  8. that makes sense but all my canisters are the complete opposite smaller fine stuff on top than large bio balls at the bottom.
  9. sounds exciting, not much else u can do but wait as the first spawn is always the hardest. try just leaving them with out the water changes but still keeping the water clean of cause. i have L226s well conditioned and displaying for well over 3 months with out any actual spawning so u never know......
  10. comets can grow to 30cm if not stunted so i wouldn't put any more in. they will be fine for now but will grow out very quick.
  11. same here, i receive and send fish almost every week.
  12. yes, some shops charge couple of dollars
  13. looks like u shoped around and got the best price on most things Brianemone. did u make that stand urself? why was the tank so expensive?
  14. thats fantastic spider. first spawn for them?
  15. if they start to change all over than its just a normal change of color but if is just the under belly thats going lighter than its the lighting.
  16. if they're from the same spawn then its normal to change color around the same time but sounds like that not what ur fish is going though. whats ur lighting? goldfish can fade in color if the light is not strong enough or not the preferred kelvin/temp color, thats why goldfish always have better colors when keep out side.
  17. very normal for goldfish to change color even pattern but only ever once.
  18. Daltons is the brand and i am pretty sure Brianemone is after the aquatic mix so its not a gravel but a sandy clay mix. good for growing plants. they do however do propagating sand which IMO is a good substrate.
  19. kings plant barn diffenitly has the.
  20. yeah hundreds, i am sure u'll get thousands if u scrap the eggs off and give them their own tank.
  21. i've had inanga breed in my ponds and indoor tanks before. didnt take any encouragement at all they just did it. was interesting to see they sort of shoot the eggs just above the water line.
  22. no we dont get L203 and even if we did they wont be full grown size just like the most panaque that we get. but we do get a few of the large panaque but remember they grow very very slow. it sounds like ur looking for size rather than type so i would suggest just getting a few young commons and give them superb diet and living condition and ur have some large plecs in no time.

    Plecos galore

besides the fact that they're introduced and destroying the original environment, that is the most exciting pleco video i've ever seen
