thats what i am mean, even though it says its 1200L/H its surely not pumping that sort of water flow on the out let. [i dont use spray bar]

maybe its just me but all my 1000L power head certainly creates a stronger flow than any of my CF1200 canisters.

power heads basically just gives a tank a bit more circulations so u dont get any dead spots. about couple of weeks ago the cheap Nova pump craped out so i've replaced it with a 1000L/H pump, the tank is about 60L so it turns the water just under 17 times every hour which is not quit enough. a canister does not create much of a current at all as its not what its designed for but is great as an extra filter system along with a power head.

pearling happens because the water is so well oxygenated that all the O2 produced by the plants have no where to go but to the surface rather than just dissolve into the water. i am saying this because ppl seem to have the idea that pearling means a good and healthy planted tank, having plants pearling does not mean ur plants are doing well all it's telling u its carrying out photosynthesis under a O2 saturated tank which most of the time is a good thing. a planted tank with no pearling does not mean its not doing well vice versa the reason plants pearl like crazy after ur cold water change is because its protecting it self from the cold. different ph......... by "moving more". that is why pruning does the same thing. for example if u syphon a bucket of water straight out of the tank then dump it back in nothing will happen.

yes but some breeding traps have large gaps so the kribs are able to suck them from the out side. haven't for me but i am more concerned that they still haven't hatched after a week. i only ever remove the ones not sticking to the sides of the cave which is usually the cast. i use hand for the large clutch and very carefully with planting tweezers for the strays

FREE just go to any glass place and they'll have that size in their bin that i am sure if u ask nicely they would cut and clean the edges up for u. thats what i do anyway

air pump air is ok and will work fine, pure oxygen is perfect and will even be ok for a few days. dont use oxy shell or oxy weed as oxy shell change PH and oxy weed will produce CO2 in the dark not oxygen. use poly box or poly lined box.

yep same here, if there is a pale one in the group they usually grow a lot slower and never makes it.
