  2. As far as I've read on them, they'll only eat live food, and only if it drifts right in front of their nose!
  3. Maybe it's stress? How long were the fish in transit for, what were they stored in etc I'd recommend AquaPlus water conditioner, it has a And it's not too expensive!

    New AR-510

Hey guys, just thought I'd share the joy! I bought my AR-510 from Hollywood's on Saturday, spent at least an hour with my flatmate puzzling out the instruction sheet for the kitset stand (MAN I hope that we did it right!!!!), set everything up, and away she went! So far, I've got 3 female guppies and some assorted plants, there's a couple Vallisneria, a red plant & what looks like some giant Bacopa... I'll get some proper pics up later tonight Waiting for next payday, and buying gravel (the one thing I forgot!), and maybe the Corydoras' or the Ancistrus'.. Then the next pay cycle will be the Betta's, and then finally the Black Ghost Knifefish! I find it amusing that because I get paid fortnightly (at the moment), my tank should be well on the way to being cycled by the time I can afford more fish & supplies! I promise I'll get pics up tonight!

    Floating Plants

I'd recommend Indian Fern, I had some in my 4' tank, and I had to take handfuls of it out at least once a week! Mind you, I had CO2 happening in that tank as well, but even before that, the plant grew really well... Fry love it, as when there's a good sized clump, they can hide from the big scary ( ) Adults
  12. towel? As in, a paper towel surely? If anybody quotes Airplane now, I'll be dissappointed...

    how much to pump

Sump? In a freshwater tank? I thought that was a redundant concept... Or is it just for people that want a challenge??

    Live Food

How do you collect Daphnia? I'm guessing you'd need a small amount of live ones to start them off? Or do Daphnia have an adult form that can fly, and therefore finds pools of water to breed in?
