  1. Snake kid I think when your old enough to travel you'll find that NZ is a great place to come home to. I tell people that traveling teachers you more about your self and your home country than the place you visited. You’ll under stand this when you’re looking for somewhere to live in Ozzie and find a place out west Sydney with bars on all the windows.
  2. Phil this looks like the photo of your Whiptail. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/im ... ge_id=1786 I've been breeding these for about 6 months.
  3. I'm keen on some fry. Also have pairs of Panduro if any one is interested.
  4. Thanks for the link. The ones I'm building are like the second photo on the link. Will have small flaps about 100x300 for food trays in the front and will be covered with clear lite over the mesh areas apart from the front. Within the next couple of years I hope to have moved to a new place with more room and less neighbors so I keep some of the bigger parrots like B&G Macaws, RTB Cockatoos, MM Cockatoos and Amazons.
  5. I've just ordered the steel for 3 Aviaries. They are for Conures etc so not very big 6'x3'x3' with access through a walkway at the back. Does any one else have suspended aviaries and how do you get access. Always concerned with birds getting out. Will have to put every thing in the back (branches etc) and arrange them through the small feeding flap at the front. Wonder what my partner will say when she finds out?
  6. My understanding is if you’re in the left lane of a round about you can only turn left on go straight. Center lane straight or right turn.

    blue/green algae

So treated with Erythro on Saturday. The algae has turned a dark green. What’s next?
  9. These people could've done this at any time. P could've been the tipping point this time or they may have just split up with their girlfriend. I think the biggest problem is that we don't hold people responsible for their actions at all levels. I think we should bring back hard labour and chain gangs. May be we should have public hangings for people like Bell and Burton where the case is so clear-cut. It might not decrease the murder rate but it is a fair punishment for the crime, saying that I would hate to have to do it.
  10. Have you ever been around someone on P or other hard drugs? I can remember having 200 motorbikes on the front lawn at 7.00 am in the morning and being dropped off to school by them. Police raids before going to school looking for guns after a shooting and a lot more than that. I have seen people shoot up hard drugs and the results of this first hand and can say the alcohol can be just as bad. I'm sure you can remember the newsreader that was on TV that was smoking P before hand. These people will do these things no matter what they are on or not. Ask your self what is the worst drug and it is alcohol by a factor of 10. It’s the people not the drugs, don't let them off so easy by saying that they are nice it’s only the drugs. Is that enough or do you want to here more.
  11. Don't blame it on P, blame it on the people that do this kind of thing. Until people are made accountable for their actions things like this will continue to happen. How many people use p every day and don't do this. People need to say how it is, if you don't work its no ones fault but your own. If you can't look after your children and bring them up to be good people its no ones fault but your own. May be Sue Bradford could sit these people down and tell them how very dad they have been and send them to there room. What a waste, how sad for the family for there son/daughter to go to work and not come home.

    Sterbai Corys

If there's nothing else in the tank just leave them. Next time you do a water change they should spawn again.
  13. It’s sad to think that because of a few people in position within Government department that we can't keep genetic line pure. There is a Macaw (parrot) called the Lear’s Macaw, which is extinct in the wild and is only alive in the world today due to private owners gifting them back to the Brazilian Government. There will come a time when the Amazon will be big Soya farms producing milk for Vegetarian Greenies and they will think its even worst to keep rare wild life and blame those that keep these animals for killing them out in the wild. They must have a very green hole to stick their heads in. With the Kea numbers reducing you would think that DOC would be keen on people breeding them but no they want to stop people doing this. Good luck with your breeding program. No one does this for the money, as there just isn’t any in it as the market is so small. This has been done with Green wing Macaws and is about 90% pure but at some stage will have to cross back out for new blood. One thing that is noticeable is the reduced size of animals from small gene pools. Do you have any photos you can post.
  14. There shouldn't be a problem putting them together. What kind of Whiptail and how long have you had the tank set up.
