  4. Yeah I haven't found much on the net.. But whatever they are I think they're pretty cool And as long as they breed true its all good i guess they're like OB peacocks.
  5. Awesome pics mate love the dolphins too Hows the first lot of fry coming along?
  6. lol no i dont torture fish i was offering genuinely to help out.. If its causing trouble and going to get flushed or whatever then ill take it was all i was saying im sure it will be fine or even cause trouble in my malawi tank. They're not really community fish anyway.

    Royal Pleco

  8. lol some africans are nasty but most are ok, they're only really agro to their own type or anything that they may consider food, im sure a rainbow shark will stick up for itself or be fast enough to get out of the way from some sharks ive seen id actually be worried about my africans but thought i would offer it a home anyway if its in trouble..
  9. why not? ive got cloan loaches and rainbow fish in with my malawi's sweet as at the moment..
  10. lol ill take it to stick with my malawis if you want?
  11. And now you've figured out how to post pics Can you post pics of all the others your selling eventually just so people can see what they're getting? Id be keen to see the kadango's especially..
  12. Awesome and very beautiful fish.. Has anyone purchased the ones that have just been imported and seen how they compare? I haven't seen any yet..
  13. why are you not replying to ur pms ooa??
  14. Just send them to someone in Auckland those fish would be easily packaged in a big polybox and it would be cheap to send in the same island.. Or else sell the livestock before you leave and find new ones up in Auckland..
  15. lol I have plenty of space african no need to worry about that
  16. the sponge filters with airstones are quieter.. and also if you've placed the column of air directly up against the glass its noisier ive found..
  17. They definatly exist I brought one 5ft and a 4ft off trademe for $10 a while ago a bit rusty but they still go
  18. Your taking it a bit far I didn't say they were hybrids at all I did give the male you got off ken to him and the pics you posted looked very much the same as it.. One of the females came from me as well and they were unrelated. No one was ever being nasty or personally attacking you so I think your going a bit off your rocker here Also may pay to get ahold of something to worm that fish you had in the pic im not being nasty but have had it go through my tanks too I know you've removed your pics but it wasn't looking flash thats not personal sometimes fish get sick and ive just wormed all my fish as well as they've got it. If you read every single post neither I or anyone else was attacking you simply trying to give you advice etc. From what your saying you dont seem to care if the fish your breeding are hybrids or not "DID NOT ASK FOR FISH ID. ASKED IF THEY COULD BREED, BUT THANKS FOR THAT ANYWAY. " that is a bad attitude as people on here have said they could be hybrids maybe pay to check before breeding and possibly spreading more hybrids..
  19. no need to yell mate everyones trying to help.. It does look alot like what is sold in nz as a kadango possibly a hybrid or the best we can get here who knows, I had that fish before Ken and therefore you and I thought it was a kadango although I had 3 males at the time so didn't pay much attention to him.. The fish came from a lady I know and she got them as kadango's from hollywood's and she got them all as youngsters and they were silver with yellow fins etc everything fitting a kadango but this does occur with hybrids they can look normal at a young age and then colour or grow to a different shape. The pics of the last fish make it look like its in very poor condition with a long stringy poo and sunk in stomach in the last one would lead me to believe you also have some problems in your tank, maybe it would colour up differently when its healthy not stressed and full of food... Also the LPS (or LFS i presume) usually know nothing about africans especially when it comes down to identification, there are a few people in shops around Auckland who I would trust but unless you know them or they convince you they know anything I wouldn't believe what they say or use what they say in an argument its not very good backup..
  20. I had some as well and they're awesome Also alot more mbuna work as dithers..

    i saw a fish

that sucks janine! I thought you were selling up to go overseas?
  22. exactly how many fish do you have?
  23. lol I know what fish you got the male came from us. Yes the females are silver with orange fins.. However the male you have has more yellow than orange in his body I think there are many different variants of kadango from yellow to red and orange in the body the babies wont be hybrids but generally you try to preserve the natural colours.. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/r ... p?genus=44 The 4 Copadichromis borleyi are all technically kadango's but as you can see have different colours depending on where they were collected from I guess.
  24. I find that the cavity goes quite black when they're getting quite developed.. All my newly stripped fry spend the first few weeks in a guppy trap with airstone so they can get food etc so it doesn't matter if they have a little eggsack left..
  25. I used to wait 2 weeks and they were sweet but it depends on your temp etc..
