  1. Hi, two of my large opaline gouramis seem to have red marks/scales just in front of their side fins. What should I do? I have some wonder tonic, would that help? Thanks A D
  2. I hear the eheim ones are real quiet. (but also real expensive).
  3. Ive had some real problems with elite heaters, I had two 300w's but the seals popped out around the body/glass connection. I had them replaced but the new ones are now starting to do the same thing.
  4. I shoud have put a comma before the "right" Try a larger sponge cut so that there is a section to the size of the hole but the rest is very big so that there is more surface area touching the water in the tank.
  5. Ive got the bigger version and have never had problems, you are using the sponge right?
  6. I'm afraid he's gone. Although the fungi stuff cleared his scales underneath were bad. I found him this morning. Thanks for all your help. I suppose it was just to late.
  7. how do you make the ice cream container float? How do you dose wunder tonic? Thanks for all your help
  8. Its not as bad as that with pokey out scales. Could I just wunder tonic the entire tank?
  9. Could I use a bucket as a hospital tank with the spare filter etc. I have also noticed that his side fins are only the spiney bits with nothing in between. what would this be?
  10. I dont really have the facilities to seperate him, I suggested the salt because I have some.
  11. So what I have to put it in another tank? Could I use salt in the whole tank?
  12. I have an Opaline Gourami (about 8cm) that has a swelling in its body about 1 cm roung just behind the fin on its side, this is about 5mm high. Then Behind this is what looks like cotton wool stuck to the fish. The lump looks red under the cotton wool (the overlap only a little. What is it and what should I do?
  13. The things we have say rcd and they have a test button and an on off switch.
  14. Our whole house is covered by to rcds mounted on the switchboard, I know this because once when I turned the tank on it tripped it. (I think the surge must have caused it) Half of the houses power failed. These obviosly turn back on after power cut.
