Hi there, Does anyone have any tips in increasing oxygen levels in a tall tank? I have heard adding a power-head will help, as creates more surface agitation. Whats a good brand/model?

It depends what your wanting to breed. Breeding my kribs, I just rinsed it off, and put it into the aquarium side on, and dug it a little in the substrate to make it more level.

Yes world of water is way over priced. Goldfish bowl is always my first stop

Yeah they have quite a few nice marine fish. However, world of water has a larger selection.

I have been told by a friend it is unsafe to do a water change while there are fry in the tank as they are sensitive to this. Is this correct...?

Yeah goldfish bowl. Small though. Don't go on a Saturday otherwise there will be no room to walk through. seriously. Animates is s**t and have sickly fish.

Probably a stupid question, but would just like to check.. Is it legal to import aquatic plants from another country that are already in NZ and are legal, for example, Java moss?

They get plenty to eat, bloodworms and flakes everyday.

BTW thanks everyone for nice comments! You are right, He is quite slender, she is quite round and more krib like. Is it possible for both types to breed together?

Haha yes! I have 3 so far. Not really much room for anymore, but would love more tanks Would love to start a saltwater tropical, and maybe a large malawi tank
