Well my nitrates are at 0. Should I be doing less water changes or dose nitrate? I probably need to clean the filter too....

Yeah I'm not sure what's caused it. I replaced the bulb in the light hood and planted a few more plants. It has two puffers and do 40% WC per week.

Yes, its not the brown algae i'm worried about, its the blue green algae (cyanobacteria). Do otos eat BGA?

Hey Guys, So I planted my small tank with quite a few more plants. Since doing so I have had a breakout of brown diatoms, and now have woken this morning to see cyanobacteria through the tank :an!gry I have decided I want to move all the plants to my big tank, but will I contaminate the big tank with the cyanobacteria? Do I need to rinse them in a diluted bleach solution??

Thanks, i've been searching, but can't find what i'm looking for. Does anyone have an aqua one 980t? If so what lights do you use? I went to mitre 10 today and picked up 2x30w t8s "cool white", but they are more yellow than the original light bulbs. Is this bad for the plants?

Hi Guys, So I have started learning about plants and lighting etc, but it is all so technical and confusing! I have a 240L aquarium, which currently has 2x30w and 1x25w fluoros. Is this enough for my plants like twisted vals etc? I feel the light is not penetrating enough to the bottom. Zara
