Hi there, Was just wandering why some people put there heaters diagonal across their tank? The instructions on my heater advise to put it vertical.

Thats ok no worries lol I feed aqua one vege wafers at the mo. And feed the other fish tropical flakes. I have heard about feeding zucchini before. How do you blanch it and how much to feed? Any other veges you would also suggest?

Yeah im going to be putting him/her in my new tank once that has cycled with driftwood can plants caves etc. hopefully he will like that more. I don't know what you mean by too much food.. there is one algae wafer in there. the other white things are snails.

Pantyhose works a treat Just make sure its rinsed thoroughly before placing in aquarium - you don't want to end up with suds in the aquarium..

I am wanting to eventually breed kribs. I have myself a lovely boy kribensis. Was wandering how fussy are kribs when it comes to breeding? Will it take a few females before I can pair?

Exactly! Aaand ammonia is only $3 a bottle and i would need probably 10 danios to cycle my tank which at my LFS cost $3.90 each.. with the risk of dying and losing that money if you do it "the good old way". This fishless cycle will probably only cost me 50 cents (not including heating and filtration of course) ETTO...

Ive got rainwater so dont need to worry about bacteria dying from chlorine. Im sure the 100% water change will do and run the filter for an hour then add some danios to see if water is safe.

I'm guessing that it may have additives????? If I do 100% water change after it has cycled will that get rid of any additives? Also put activated carbon in??
