So it looks like I'm getting the tank replaced. After aqua one saw the pics, they were like "oh, I don't like the look of that" So I'm going to take this as an opportunity to rescape my tank.. Wanting to use 1" of dalton's aquatic mix and then 2" sand on top, not sure if I want black or white though. Also, as I have never used sand before, is there a certain type of sand to buy? Are there any sands with a low silicate level, to avoid brown spot algae?

You may not have enough pressure, there may be a leak somewhere. If you attach an air pump to it, it should diffuse air.

Ok so i have found a new batch of fry, Quick question... if I siphon the fry into their own tank, will they die without the parents?
