Yup tried and tested flourish excel.. The BBA goes red after a day or 2 then dies. Double dose everyday for a week. No harm to fish/snails.. Only do not use if you want to keep your vals alive if you have any..

Yes i'm worried about that.. the LFS will probably take them when they are bigger though. I have a question about sponge filters.. how do they work? I have seen them on tm etc, what do I attach them to?

I'm very excited as my kribensis fry have become free swimming today :bounce: Only one problem.. its a 240L with the 2 parents, probably 80 fry, and a school of neons, rummy nose and zebra danios. The parents are trying to kill the others. Would it be easier to remove the parents and fry, or all the other fish? Also is it possible to just remove the fry into their own tank or will they die without the parents?

Well after waiting all the fighting out between male and female they finally paired up. Fed them up on bloodworms and now she's guarding the flower pot. Fingers crossed I will soon have some babies!!!

Well I made a better c02 system, with 2 bottles. 1/2 cup sugar, 1tsp yeast and warm water a few weeks ago and isn't producing any bubbles... Anyone have a better recipe?

The lights that came with the 980t, and about 8 hours, as have plants. There are lots of hiding places too.

Also, she constantly blows bubbles, then races up to the surface for more air. I dont think oxygen is a problem in my tank as good water flow, and all other fish seem happy and healthy

Hi everyone, So before I put my bristlenose in my large tank, she was very healthy. The moment i put her in, she started to get pale patches all over her body, I just thought this was normal from stress and would go away. She has been in there for 2 months now, and just got worse and worse. Now her eyes have this strange white thing on them. What is wrong?? How do I help her?? Hi everyone! So im wanting hair grass to grow in clumps like how you buy it from the lfs. Does anyone know how to do this and be able to share your tips? My thoughts were to maybe put a runner in a small pot.. :dunno:

Easy-life liquid filter medium is excellent at clearing cloudy water, also makes water quality stable when setting a new tank up. otherwise cheaper alt is api accu-clear..
