  1. Not sure about the plants, but there are definitely some wild goldfish around in the waterways out east.

    gold panchax

Looking good. Nice to see that you have breed them.
  3. Aweosme looking fish, shame they don't live in tropical tanks.
  4. They grow to about 60cm in length, and are know for snapping and going on a killing spree when they hit about 30cm.
  5. The aggression of the dat as with a lot of large fish depends on the individual, you could get one that is mellow as, or one that is super aggressive, there is no way of telling. If you remove the dat from the list going to a more peaceful community it will probably make your life easier. They provide better filtration, better water movement, and use less power.
  6. The main problem I see with your stock list is that the banjo cat will eventually get eaten, probably by the poly, or the dat. Also depending on the temperament of the dat it could bully your butterfly fish, and elephant nose to death. As far as filtration goes, I used to use aqua one canister filters, but since buying a fluval/Eheim filter I have never looked back, and would always personally save for a bit longer so that I could get a better filter.

    Iguana iguana

    Very cool, is it yours?
  8. It would help if you said where you were located in the title.
  9. I have recently started an emersed set up, and am looking for some different sword plants to try and grow in there. Does any one have any sword plant pup's for sale, and willing to ship?
  10. Pretty fish, it would be nice if there were more breeders in NZ who breed high quality guppies. (Although having a higher demand for them would help that)
  11. Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your fish adventures. Where are you located, as that will make a big difference in the stores that are suggested.
  12. I am well aware, but it would be nice if stores actually took photo's of there fish themselves, instead of blatantly stealing photos from other people. It says something about the integrity of the store when they do that.
  13. Do you have apisto's in, and what species? Also are those pictures of the actual fish? Ohhhhh, are those peacock bass I see in the background of the second photo? do you have some of them?
  14. That would just cause the set up to have to be dismantled completly, less then desirable.
  15. Nice photo's. I would grow some mozzie larvae for you, but I have been explicitly banned from growing them.
  16. Very lucky that the water managed to actually put out the fire.
  17. I feed my fish frozen prawns/shrimps, just need to be raw, NOT cooked. I just defrost, and rinse off before feeding to my fish.
  18. As my friends can confirm, I was very dissppointed in the number one, I would have preferred any of the other top 5 in that spot.
  19. I am, will be interesting to see, probably somethign tool or metallic.
  20. The old one I have am almost certain is a palmas palmas, not sure what the new ones I have got are yet, are to small to really tell what they are.
  21. Yea this is the first long fin send, they haven't been around internatinoally for that long though. What are yours eating? They were $85 each, cheaper then the other one I got from HFF years ago at $130.
