I have a large indian fern floating in the top of my tank. One of my male gourami's (I don't have any females) likes building a bubble nest in there once every couple of months.

Sounds exciting, keep us informed. The mechanics sound like they might be a little difficult to set up, but will be worth it if you do. How big a tank are you thinking of setting this up in? (imagine it would look better to go bigger)

An elephant nose, or a pantadon butterfly? I love odd ball's but for some reason I am having trouble of thinking of non-preditory one. Maybe that says somthing about me..... I would say a bichir they are peaceful, but they will fit anything that fits in there mouth, and they have massive mouths, so it depends on what else in in your community.
