  1. It should be fine, I am on rain water tanks, and dont have problems with the water.
  2. Wow, that thing looks intense, I want one.
  3. I know the feel, The poly's I got today were $40 less then I was expecting, it didn't take the shop assistant much convincing to get me to buy the second one (She had even put sold for both of them on the tank in preparation of being able to get me to buy both). You know you are addicted when you get excited about midnight snack time... the midnight snack is for the fishes only not me. (that time is comign up fast. :happy1: :nilly: :happy1:
  4. *Rome total war II I am a fan of the series (although it is mainly due to my friends who play it heaps have forced me to play), I enjoy it but am still rubbish at it.
  5. Looking good, cant wait to see ti with fish in.

  7. Come on people, why did you have to get that stuck in my head now?????????
  8. Where in NZ was he, as I have been considering if it would be possible to keep texas in my pond.
  9. When tail gated I just slow down, and drive slower. If you can't stop them you may as well annoy them as much as possible.
  10. They are only about 10cm now, growing fast. They either tear the pallets up when they are soaked, and the larger one swallows the 10mm pallets whole (surprised me when I saw it do that the first time, but they have massive mouths for there size. The pallets are not the pleco ones, the ingredients have 'mollusks and crustaceans' as the first ingredient, but that is kind of why I am asking what would be a better food for carnivores.
  11. I have had my birchirs eating pallets for a few months now, at the moment they are JBL sinking tablets. But as my container of them is about to run out I want to know what are peoples opinions on the best food for carnivorous fish like polypterus?
  12. There was cake, now chocolate fish, I think the food is spiraling out of control.
  13. Yea, it is not a stupid question, better you ask now then get in trouble later trying to import somthing illegally.
  14. Interesting, still prefer reall fish and corals though.
  15. Looks good, I definitly prefer the new aqua sacpe from the old.
  16. I would have watched it and have been telling you all how great it is, but our internet limit has ran out, so got to wait untill the end of the week for it to go back to fast speed. [so sad]
  17. Just got back from work and have realized my 'not completely serious' button on my key board is broken. I definitely agree that there needs to be more then just meeting for meetings sake. Did I read catch up for a beer, I am in for that.... :digH: I hope my names on the list of people who are intending on joining when you work out how to let us.
  18. East auckland here (howick way). Surely since we are a fish related society we should be meeting up at a fish related place (e.g. hff, kelly tarltons etc.)?
  19. Again it depends on your stocking, just watch your nitrates and fish helth for how often you need to water change, I over stock slightly (ok I over stock quite a bit) and do a 50% once a week, and 30% once or twice a week as well.
  20. The main problem with the likes of play sand is that it is very dirty, so you have to wash it LOTS or else it will cloud up your tank with dirt.
  21. Ouch, how big a tank is it?
