There is a time after hatching and before free swimming when the fry will stick together. Increase aeration at this time so all the fry have access to sufficient oxygen. (so says ballistic in an article he wrote for the Aquarium World magazine) Newly hatched brine shrimp are good as first food for fry.

They are 'the cheapest I can find' bags from Mr Mono and have no idea whether they are recyclable or biodegradable as it doesn't say anywhere on the plastic wrapping. I make up for the use by using biodegradable cloth-like bags at all other times. The only time I get plastic bags from the supermarket is when I need more to line the rubbish bin with. Evil you will get one - but a bit late. Your capitation has been passed on but I have to wait for your membership card to arrive so I can attach it and send together with the mags. That goes for about 4 others too. I expected them to turn up today but they didn't.

Wait until the tank has been running for at least 6 months before you add a loach. This means they will have stuff to graze on as they move about. They like a tank that has been running a while. Any of the small fish would suit your tank. Have you thought about the smaller species of danios, tetras and barbs?

It is one very unhappy gourami and the situation will only get worse. Blues are more aggressive than the others for some reason. Are the blues male? They are worse. The rocking may be a result of injury or its way of appearing less threatening to the more aggressive fish. If the bullying doesn't settle down you may have to rehome the victim.

No need to feel stink. I am anti medications if they can be avoided (I even hate taking them myself) and just wanted to make it clear. Others would say to treat "just in case". It is a personal choice, not a matter of right or wrong.
