  1. if you click on your name (top left hand corner, or there abouts) you should go to your wall.
  2. 2 doing well on their own, might be more but I havnt had another look yet.
  3. Yup, been at it for well over 20 years now haha. Though my rod is getting a little old, it was my grandfathers when he was young. Been using it for salt water fly fishing lately, landed a nice kingi.
  4. Hahaha the fishing is fine, its my luck! I used to catch every time I went out, I think I used up all my luck as a kid. I still get plenty of snapper off the beach so its not too bad lol, though i would love some smoked rainbow trout or a nice pan fried brown.
  5. I do my share with the possums, and their fur at least makes it worth while. I would love to be able to catch more trout, but at the moment I pay for those over priced licenses and dont catch any. Been doing it for 6 years now, not one trout. I think im justified to throw out a piece of cheese lol, though I could never do it.
  6. shorter wheel base means it will be better off road. For offroad I find turbo harder to get the right amount of power to the wheels, its either all or nothing. Manual is better too but it depends on your experience. I would tend to look at a hi-lux surf if I was you. You get the best of both worlds, they handle well offroad and onroad, reliable and well made, parts are easy to come by, comfortable interior but hard wearing inside and out. I drive a mitsi l200 2.4 t 4x4 dcab. Love the extra cab space but long wheel base and turbo make it a little challenging offroad. Hi-lux depending on the year, you should be able to pick a good one up relatively cheaply if you shop around. HTH
  7. Guppies now have their own tank, and will have a fry tank ready for the albinos tomorrow. Will still grow out the others in the fish bin as they are mostly pantadon food, but at least this way the albinos should get a chance. Now to grow them up and breed them :bounce: Thanks for the help Ryan.
  8. Its looking great Jen, and I love the rainbows too, they look very nice in there.
  9. Parents are wild type female and red tail tux male. Thats a couple of the parents young daughters, female is just like the wild type closest to the camera. Ill move them out when I get a spare tank to some where they can have better care, at the moment they are living in a 60 ltr fish bin, but raised many guppies in there fine, will take extra care with the possible albinos though, want to get more of them in the future if I can.
  10. Update: They are growing well enough, dispite me being to busy to feed more then twice a day at the moment. Still tiny and much smaller then regular guppy fry I get, about half the size of their none red eyed siblings. Camera still hasnt got a chance in focusing on them, but I tried anyway. Suspected Albino in black circle, to the left you can see one of its siblings and the size difference.
  11. Good Luck on the new fish! I hope it all goes well. Perhaps you could involve your Dad in the hobby more, no doubt he'll end up with MTS too!
  12. I wish! haha they are tiny, not even an hour old yet, Ill get some pics up when the camera has a chance of focusing on them.
  13. Just thought Id share this. My wild type female has been giving birth over the last hour, lots and lots of little red eyes! They are almost invisable except for the eyes. :bounce:
  14. UPDATE: Got the ceramic frit a few days ago and installed it last night, definetly much better then using the impeller and considering it was only a few $$ well worth it. Algae is still trying its best to get going in there, Im running out of ideas. Ive got TLC, SAT and Flourish excell, Co2 is still being generated from yeast reactors for now as Ive run out of pingers to fill the bottles and we used 2 full bottles testing the bracket. I added a tiny powerhead to increase the flow a little bit to try stop the yucky brown stuff getting all over everything. This is today The brown stuff Could I get some advice/ideas to help keep the algae under control please, I really dont want to have to replant hairgrass again.
  15. Cool thanks alot people . I had figured they would, especially considering the conditions the puffer is showing is floating tail up. And the sole diet is freeze dried bloodworms.
  16. Talking about a DP with possible swim bladder disease, showing all the characteristics of swim bladder disease (not my puffer tankfully) but according to an "expert" DP and all pufferfish do not have swim bladders. Been searching for internal anatomy of a pufferfish on google without any sucess, at least nothing mentioning the swim bladder, or lack of it. Can anyone help answer this? Thanks in advance.
  17. Found a nice little glass bell diffuser with a ceramic frit should get that mid next week. Rotala is doing well starting to go pinkish on the upper leaves. Added the driftwood and rocks plus split the rotala a bit more. Heres the lil inhabitant.
  18. Finally got my rotala rotundafolia yesterday, did some replanting. I cant wait till it thickens out in there. Adding rocks and Driftwood tomorrow, had an algae problem so Ive cleaned them in a weak bleach solution, they still have a slight bleachy smell dispite heavy and prolonged rinsing so leaving them outside for a day to see if that helps. Added TLC and SAT today and with nearly every bit of the substrate planted in HG it shouldnt get a bad outbreak again. Plan to replace background to strait black, forgot about picking some up this morning. Going to stick with just the 2 plants and the 1 puffer now. Will split the rotala more as it grows, I want it thick in the corner to try hide the heater and filter inlet. Will trim the HG to match the scaping a bit later on next week, I would prefer to leave it for a bit that might help it get underway easier. Going to pick up my sodastream bottles next week and the clamp we fashioned, I'll have to think about a proper defuser now but I dont want some big unsightly thing in there, the heater and filter inlet are enough of an eye sore. Till then it will have to do with a Co2 reactor defused by the impeller.
  19. Once again lookin good P! FINALLY got my rotala rotunda, if I got it half as decent as yours I would be happy. :bounce:
  20. I got the privilege of seeing it, its just strait out stunning.
