  1. my leopard looks very similar to those exect for the barbels, what are the ones in the video?
  2. lol hopefully mine wont get a chance to get too lazy, the others should keep it on its toes or fins rather. I guess I should starting looking into what species of syno we can get here and how many I can have lol, before I impulse buy too many. Definetly one of my favourite fish though. Cant wait till I get the pictus schooling I bet they look amazing.
  3. HAHA! your not wrong there, I'm thinking I just might, these and whiptails, I guess that makes me catfish crazy as Im dying for a school of pictus. Nice! thats what I want him for and coz hes awesome I just let him out and have been watching him with my leopard to see if they got on well, the leopard is following him around after a little head butting, its cute they look like good friends. I bet they will be a great waste management team.
  4. Its happened again, Im going syno crazy! This is Akin, hes about 2 inches long. I love these guys, still interested in getting an ID on my other 'leopard' syno Ill be heading down to the lps I got it from early next week so Ill ask.
  5. Some nice discus, love the lil ones they look to be doing well and the greedy lil turq sounds too cute. Feeding cone is definetly a way to go with these guys, mine have their own bare bottom and prefer to pick all day rather then eat when I have the time to feed them.
  6. Ok sorry guys, bit late Easy one but your all better at this then me haha When is it bad luck to meet a white cat?
  7. ty ty , that never came up in all my searches.
  8. Well I threw in 2 guppy fry, if I put him in with the guppies it will get eaten in a flash. The guppy fry are still there and the larva is hiding under a rock.
  9. a lil update, crushed colourbits went down a treat for the runt, he scoffed a good 4 or 5 bits. Asani has settled in well hes no longer ripping up plants. Arthur has sucked the juices out of most of them now though  hes not going blind lol, look in the reflection. its just what the camera is doing. is sturisoma panamense the right name for these guys? hard finding one that looks like Arthur
  10. Sounds like a plan, reckon I should give it a new born guppy fry? lol Im mean i know but im plagued with the darn things. guppies and cabomba want all my tank space.
  11. lol yeah, this is the frog that ate the other 2 lol, I remember reading that dragonfly larva eat tadpoles hes well beyond that point. It doesnt look like any dragonfly larva ive seen though, might still be early then. They usually look like the one in the pic, vicious but not gross.
  12. Hahaha well its met its match then, hes in the frogs little pond now, guts will soon have him.
  13. I just went to get some daphnia outside and there wasnt many at all, there is alot of algae in the drum so I thought I should take some out as the daph could be hiding in it. Threw some on the ground and noticed this: It lives in water I know that much, it didnt like being pulled out.
  14. That sounds like a good idea with the feeding cone will have to look into one. Thanks for all the help.
  15. Feeding them exactly the same stuff yeah just seems like hes a bit picky and slow. They all turned their noses up at bloodworms Ill try daph soon, hes still super healthy they are so neat to watch.
  16. Thanks for that, I thought as much but I figured best to check. Ill try crushing the colourbits a little, perhaps if they are smaller he wont spit them as much. I might see what they think of some live daph, thats sure to perk his appitite up a bit. Whats the metro for? worms or something? as they have been treated for all that already. I think hes just a little slow to be honest, and I think the colour bits are a lil big.
  17. Will have to check out the asain shops around here then, I need more kim chi anyways. Anyone got any tips on getting the runt discus to eat better? its so slow misses most of the food and when it does get some it tends to spit it out. Maybe give him his own tank for a few week fatten him up?
  18. Well Dad was a big boy, and beautiful markings too, so was mum. If they are anything to go by these are gunna be some very stunning fish, I consider myself extremely lucky to have them put it that way haha! Parents are from Tony Tan.
  19. I know they dont really fit here but may as well use the same thread. Discus are settling in well, already starting to show some colour. Having trouble getting the runt to eat though, food just passes him by he doesnt really try, I guess thats why hes the runt. About to do a w/c but thought Id try get a piccy up first. Glass needs a clean I know, not to mention my shoddy camera work as always
