  1. Already attempted that, Im here in normal mode now, I ran firefox.exe from task manager. Nothing happens when I try explorer.exe Would it be wise to attempt a system restore? Ive never used it because I heard it was very buggy, but this PC sets a restore point every night so it might be worth a try at least. I have a feeling its in startup that the problem is occurring.
  2. Im stumped, My computer wont let me run in normal mode, Im in safe mode now. OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer Acer System Model Aspire M3201 System Type X86-based PC Processor AMD Phenom 9100e Quad-Core Processor, 1799 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. R01-B1, 7/05/2008 SMBIOS Version 2.5 What happens is, it works fine right through until after I log in, I get the loading animation then it goes to a blank blue screen and nothing happens after that, I waited 45 minutes and still nothing. I can hit ctrl+alt+del and I can get the task manager. I have no idea whats happening. Ive been searching through google but I cant find a solution as I dont really know what Im looking for. If anyone has had any similar experiences help would be appreciated.
  3. I agree, Im having trouble replacing a cacatuoides male. We need more of these awesome fish.
  4. If the general consensus is to try and save it, I will make time to help out in any way needed.
  5. Aaah thats a great idea, Im sure if I search through some old boxes I have a couple some where. I think the male might be starting to get dropsy I have isolated him just to be sure. On a couple of the pics I took I can see what looks to be the scales lifting near the tail. Hes pooing fine, I gave him some pea this morning.
  6. These guys are going well, the male is turning out quite nice. They never keep still so I resorted to using a glass, It didn't make it much easier.
  7. Syno is down the other end now, hes chilled out a lot, no longer chasing anything that gets near to him.
  8. Geophagus Surinamensis settled in well, very pretty fish. I cant wait for them to colour up a little more, Found they had dug a pit this morning just under where that photo was taken, Ill keep conditioning them on gut loaded fresh water shrimp and see how we go. Rearranging the driftwood tonight, taking time to do without disturbing things too much, I found the culprit for the wounding, its the vermiculated syno, hes hitting everything that goes past him, so Im moving his territory down the far end out of everyones way I hope that will chill him out, otherwise he'll have to go, which is a shame coz I love synos and hes a real beauty. Heres a pic of the Geos after they got in last night, Will add more pics tomorrow after I've done rearranging everything and let you all know how it went with the syno, provided my internet doesnt go down again. Yes the glass is dirty  I guess I'll see you soon P44
  9. I had a thought, My internet is acting odd right now or Id have told you sooner. When I first got my Zebra spiny, the only way I got him to eat at first was by burying the bloodworms, they use those 3 prong things on the end of their nose to feel out creatures living in the substrate, just a thought if your still having trouble, once they learn what the food looks and smells like they wont worry where it comes in from.
  10. Want me to send a couple of these Stella? I was told they are dragon fly larvae, I still have that one in my paludarium its been about 3 months since I put it in there, eats guppy fry but it hasnt changed at all, just gotten alot bigger, its now close to 3cm. I have about 10 of them in my daphnia tank outside so can send ya them if you like, they are just eating my daphnia so not really good for me lol, I suppose I could feed them to the Birchirs. It looks like a fun project Have fun! :bounce:
  11. I got put off venison at a very young age even if I liked the taste. I remember my Uncle coming over saying he'd shot Bambi and we were having Bambi burgers for tea. Traumatic childhood
  12. I wouldn't imagine it would go down too smoothly. My synos eat snails, eat anything that fits in their mouths.
  13. Tell me about it, Iggy can power through 2 cubes on his own easily.
  14. Mine eat frozen bloodworms from hand, Just be patient with them it will take them a little time to adjust to the feeding, they wont stave after a few days, and are best fed every other day anyway. Ask the LFS where you got them what they had been feeding them on, most if not all spiny eels are wild caught with a barbless fish hook, they've travelled a long way and have so much to get used to. Make sure there are plenty of places to hide and dig so they are comfortable out of feeding times, it wont take them long to recognise you and get used to their feeding times and types of food. Mine will take brine shrimp if they have to, but much prefer the blood worms over anything else, Iggy my fire eel has a taste for discus tucker. Once under way they can grow quite quickly so be sure you have plenty of tank space. HTH
  15. Thats good to know, I had one come with some sterbai as a "black sterbai" Need more now lol
  16. Your right there, personality a plenty. Mines fine with his bumble bee gobies too, its as if they dont even see each other, though hes partial to their eggs when he finds them. I cant wait till I find him a couple of girls! then Ill get the gobies their own tank so I can save the fry when they hatch.
  17. Welcome, and good luck with the tank hunting.
  18. Good stuff mate where did ya nail them? You know theres some good sambar behind the hot pools near the paint ball thing they have their, some big stags barking last time we went up, I missed a shot on a young doe  I dont know how to cook it other then 1 curry, I dont eat a lot of meat and venison is waaay to rich for my liking, although I had some that had been smoked not so long ago and it was really good.
  19. Maxine looks great! Nice pics
  20. I've been wanting to try but I'm trouble finding some females. Congratulations on more fry :bounce:
