  1. My butterfly rams have laid 3 lots of eggs and every time the male has gradually eaten all the eggs. Have seen him head down over the eggs picking at the them. Is this normal? Should I remove him after they have laid the eggs?
  2. Have had 3 adult mollies with it and been treated(and 1 adult krib died after treatment). Some others scratching on rocks, so am doing it as a precaution.
  3. I'm 3 days into white spot treatment and my rams have layed eggs. I'm supposed to do a 25% water change and add 1ml/30l today. Do I do this or leave the treatment until a later date?
  4. Bought this filter of trademe to use in my 4 foot tank but I am having problems with to flow rate. Set it up according to the instructions. Ran it into a bucket to check flow and it was about 100/120l an hour. Is this correct? It seems really slow. I have a smaller Eheim classic canister filter that has a better flow rate. If it is not running correctly then what could be the problem?
  5. Has anyone used one of these? Are they any good? Tried googling them but dosn't come up with much on them. Wanting it for my 4ft 240l tank. Link to the one I am considering buying: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 228396.htm
  6. I give up, what is it?
  7. Thanks guys. Will continue with the fight. A friend suggested I leave them untrated and comb them out and use them as live food for the fish. Somehow I dont think so!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Thanks guys. Will give some of the natural ideas a go first, Straighten her hair and hope for the best.
  9. My 5yr old daughter (hair down to her bottom) is coming home with nits.4 lots in the last 3 weeks. Have tried all the normal over the counter shampoos, combing ect and she still has them. Have rung the school and they say that it is a major problem at the moment. Any home remidies and suggestions would be greatly welcome.
  10. How about some vallisneria. Done well in my tank. The worst the goldfish have done is dig it up.
  11. I am getting my 4foot tank up and running and looking for some medium/tall sized bushy plants to put in. I do have some indian fern but want something different. Any ideas and where to get them?
  12. Have found some plans for a two door cabinet/sand for my 4foot tank. They use 4x4 wood for everything. My question is would 4x2 be alright? I don wont it to sag but I wont to keep it as light as possible.
  13. They are in with platties, guppies, mollies, 2 dwarf gourami, 3 bolivian rams, 2 1.5cm blue rams, 4 tetra, 1 red tail shark, 1 pleco, 2 algae eaterss, 12 danios, and 2 rosy bards. I do have another tank i can move them into when they are free swimming.
